Wonder why? He has done a commendable job with the site. I bet more people go to the site for Paul's info then actual game stories and such.

Seriously though, it can be a ton of reasons. You would have to pay me a a lot of money for my main responsibiltites to be simultaneously tracking down fickle teenage recruits and keeping the peace amongst your "adult" premium subscribers. It's probably not worth the headache. Have you visited there recently? I enjoy the content put out there by the BDJ staff - I think they do a good job - but the maturity level of many of the posters over there rivals 16 year old girls. Rational and civil discussion (which I naively assumed was common on a subscription board) is hard to come by with several of the routine posters that kill the threads there. And that says a lot coming from a poster who has a post count in the thousands on SPS...

I wonder if a daily post limit on the recruiting board would help? I can't imagine doing that job & having to put up with all the BS.Every rumor anyone hears gets posted over there & Paul is expected to know the truth --- "Hey Paul, TOB says..." "Post on SPS says..."

I'm sure that would piss a lot of people off, but seems like it would clear out a lot of the BS. Still have the chats where anything can be discussed but just limit the ridiculous threads.

that the OM fans are wishing well even though it looks like something shady was likely going on? I agree we shouldn't be "firing away" at any recruits ever but this year has been out of the ordinary to say the least with the way things have played out. And I remember some very unkind words by Reb fans toward Robert Elliott when he ended up signing with MSU on signing day.

Wasn't an OM commit that was flipped, but my guess is P.J. Jones. After he committed to us there was MANY posts on the spirit "wishing him the best", etc.</p>

wasn't PJ Jones the one who complained about the harrassment from OM fans he got after he committed to us? Its funny with CJ that all I've heard about is the facebook crap but haven't heard anything about the 10 pages of messages form MSU posters on an MSU board telling him how great a player he was and asking him to still consider us without ANY negativity. I've never seen that for any other MSU recruit ever but apparently that had no positive effect.
