He has received alot of praise from Olney so far this year. Called him the next Jamie Moyer. I'm glad to see him performing as well as he is, because I was afraid that he'd be the odd man out once Beachy returned due to his contract price and the obvious affection the Braves organization has for Teharan.
Maholm will always be my favorite Diamond Dawg. The fact that he pitches for the Braves just makes it that much better.
He is locating his pitches better than at any point of his career. He also does a great job at NOT tipping his pitches. He clearly has batters fooled with the different speeds of that hook.
