Saw where Pearl dismissed a couple of baseball coaches after a trip to the coast. Anyone have any knowledge of what happened?

Involved alcohol. Players and coaches drinking. Really, no more needs to be said. The proper actions have taken place.

I am not sure but from what I have heard they went out of state over spring break to play in a tournament and supposedly supplied players with alcohol.
I do not know for sure how truthful my information is it is just what I was told.

That's pretty close to what I heard. Drinking on the spring break baseball trip involving both coaches and players. How stupid do you have to be to supply alcohol to minors these days, especially if you're a HS coach?

the principal caught 11 players drunk while they were at the beach. the coach suspended them. from a person extremely close to the situation the coaches had no knowledge BUT that may or may not be true.

if the coaches supplied or turned a blind eye to the situation then they got what was coming to them.

True, but if they indeed had no knowledge then I don't think firing them was the only option. It's impossible to watch over 25+ HS guys 24-7 for a week at the beach, especially if they were in a hotel or condo setup.

i agree 100%. they were in a hotel where players were rooming together. no way a coach can control what a kid does all the time in that setting. and Lord knows parents will find anything to remove blame from their child.
