Assuming Kerk won't give up a TD, it has to be pretty rare for PSU to not allow a TD.

Ironhead interviewing AB

Q: talk about where you're at, and what you're feeling
- I feel blessed. God blessed me at an early age. matches are different than practice; this is fun

Q: talk about the young guys
- they love it. All 3 of them are all for the competition. Davis and Kasak taking out ranked guys at Oregon State was impressive

Q: give me a feel for the camaraderie of this group
- it's cool. we're all close. Every year we find something to bound over. The young guys keep me laughing, and we mentor them

Q: talk about your mindset in the final go-around
- it's an exciting year. I remind myself to be present in each match. Whatever happens happens

Q: Talk about your relationship with Carter
- we both came in freshman year in summer session. I could tell he wanted it the way I did. It's a blessing

Are either PSU's 197 or heavyweight wrestlers (for next year) currently on their roster or are those likely portal spots?

TBD. They have the Mirasola twins and Zach Ryder projected at the upper weights, but they will all be true freshman. I think the portal is a legitimate possibility.

Kirk has a COVID year option available, so he may well be manning the spot next season.

Lucas Cochran and AJ Fricchione are the only guys on the current roster that could man 197.

Connor Mirasola is coming in (he's a HS senior) before next season, and Cole Mirasola (also a HS senior) is joining him. The expectation is that Connor will wrestler 197, and that Cole will wrestle 285.

As @LB99 mentioned, Ryder is in the mix. He opted out of his wrestling in his senior year of HS to train this year with the NLWC. He won the US U-17 championship this past summer at 80 KG (176 lbs), so 197 may be a bit of a stretch for him. Though without him competing in HS this season, there is almost no info about what he currently weighs, how he's doing, etc.
