I'm setting this up in advance, so that everybody has the details they may need, and also because I'm free right now after a day of travel, but have a day full of events scheduled for Friday.

Please use the thread for all pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussion for the PSU - Oklahoma dual.

When:
Nov. 14, 6 pm EST

Where:
Bryce Jordan Center, State College, PA

TV:
BTN

Video Streaming:
I believe you can stream it via the FoxSports APP if you are a BTN subscriber.

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-match portion of the broadcast will begin at 5:40 pm EST, with the actual dual taking place at 6 pm EST. You can access the audio stream at:

Once there, scroll down, find Wrestling:Oklahoma, and press the arrow in the button to the left of that text.

PBP:
As I indicated earlier this week, I'm at a conference this weekend, and as such will be out for PBP. I neglected to ask @GregPickel if he'll be available for PBP. Here's hoping @SlipperyPete and/or others from the BWI community will step forward, and provide PBP, thoughts, analysis, etc. during the match. As always, I remind folks that provide PBP to include scores for each dual, as well as the match score.

Soldano was supposed to wrestle Sinclair last weekend in the finals of a tournament but he didn't wrestle. He was never injured that I saw hopefully he wrestles. 141 if it's wells and 197 will be the best matches. Next beat will be HWT Mora is solid

I don't think YouTube TV has renewed any of the contracts, just as a heads up

Unfortunately for Oklahoma, Dr. Howie Bluestein just retired. An authority tornadoes and convective storms, his TOTO device was part of the inspiration for the movie Twister. It's too bad he wont be there to rate the coming storm. We know it'll be bad, but whether it's a high end EF4 or the second EF5 of the year will probably require an expert evaluator. The rest of us will just have to settle for being mesmerized and impressed by the damage.

Especially when it's 3 out of your to 4 highest ranked guys.

All hurt after publishing the original match notes, what rotten luck.

Not sure what type of gamesmanship there is in sending out your backups to catch beat downs, while the starters watch from the bench. Has to be great for team energy. If this happened every now and then it would be one thing, huge trend when it comes to PSU opponents though.
Sooner starters will have the opportunity to tell backups how they would have handled it.

PSU has nobody to blame but themselves. Want your guys to hit quality opponents, then schedule a meaningful tournament. Pretty simple. Two whole months of pointless wrestling. Incredible.
PSU wrestlers hit higher quality opponents everyday at practice compared to any dual meet or tournament they enter. Cael and company got this and know exactly the formula for March. It’s still amazing that Cael has more NCAA team championships than BIg10 team championships. Trust the process

Huh? Penn State results speak for themselves. Sanderson punted in 2015, 2020 was wiped out by Covid and that might've been in Iowa win and then Iowa won in 2021. Other than that Penn State has dominated the landscape so I'm kind of trusting what the coaches doing.
I don't worry about matches now ,I want to see results at the end of the year.

The process isn’t broken, obviously. I just want to be entertained. Call me an entitled fan, or whatever, but I’m a little cranky that I’m not in Tulsa right now. And I get it. PSU wrestles are year-round athletes. Nobody wrestles more freestyle and you have to take that into account, but can we not have just one major regular season folkstyle event? It’s all preseason mode until conference duals/championships. It drives me crazy.

But, we need a National Dual tournament "to grow the sport". These coaches suck. Trying to protect seeds 4 months before the real national tournament is ridiculous. I guess we have it all wrong and it is spaghetti that sharpens iron, not iron. F you, Coach Kish.

I attended some National Dual tournaments in the past. You would have been surprised at the attendance (i.e. not great).

I went to a few of the early Virginia Duals that had good attendance. The NWCA event had decent attendance numbers early but declined quickly and never recovered.
