When was the last time you saw a QB cry after a game they lost, or won for that matter? Very uncomfortable that the QB of the football team that had such high aspirations this season was crying. Very uncomfortable. I guess in 2023 I may be looked at by some as without soul for preferring to see the QB man up. So be it.
So, as I posted earlier in this thread, it’s okay that you are upset enough at a 19-year old for getting upset at his game performance that you show your emotion by taking shots at him and telling him to man up.
You can be upset, but Drew Allar is not permitted. His performance hurt you personally that much?
Good one.
sheesh, people.

Once they start getting paid, gotta man up. No more tears.
Then again, maybe the tears are out of fear of losing $$$

At least Drew cares. Imagine if he didn’t and let it show post-game.

The video of the crying will be used to mock PSU for years to come.

And I am sure opposing players will remind Drew on the field.

I still can't square how some fans are allowed to get SO emotional about a player and a game that has zero direct affect on their lives, yet the player who played and let his actual teammates down due to his play isn't allowed to be emotional. $ or not, at a certain point human emotion doesn't care.

Really says a lot about some of you....

I guess after Sandusky that's pretty mild. Then again, that might devastate a lot of PSUers. What if the mockery causes a crying epidemic? You know, like the type of thing that MacKay describes in Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds. Could be a lot of boo hooin' goin' on. And group hugs too.

he's a bit of a dick Ryan.

Haha. It doesn't bother me much. Was trying to be funny and joke around a bit.

If you're gonna come after me, that's fine. I'm a big boy and that's part of the job sometimes, but at least save it for when I post an opinion or make a mistake. Shoot, I even linked the direct video so you guys didn't run into the three-story limit that On3 put in place.

It's all good though. No hard feelings. I know it was a tough week for everyone.

No surprise, you fail to understand the comparison. Perhaps it's too early to write off the young QB.
100% too early to write him off. My point is any good young QB can have his career sabotaged by a bag of wrenches coach (like Justin fields)

Do you have evidence that the same was true when Trace McSorley cried, or Jahan Dotson after dropping the pass in Pittsburgh? Lighten up, there are more things to be concerned about.

why is everyone so concerned we can’t function perfectly fine in our real lives and be critical of state football at the same time? I was up at 5:30 as always, no issues.

True, we had posters on here crying a lot more than Drew did and they didn’t even play.

I am not the slightest bit concerned. I remember when Brandon Short cried when he announced her was staying his final year at PSU. Without NIL.

I don’t recall Jahan dropping a pass at Pittsburgh.

I’m wondering how a young man showing emotion about losing a football game turned into three pages on a message board.

I’d personally be happy he showed emotion. I’ve never doubted the effort of Penn State’s athletes. They’re cleared invested and want badly to win. Its other things that I question.
