How can they arrest people for drinking on the sky deck or anywhere else in the stadium when the club level and box seats are flooded with booze? There were two barney fife kops in section 702 just haulin' people off left and right for having beer and or booze in the sky deck. They weren't making any problems they were just drinking at their seat. What gives them the right to ignore the drinking in the club level while harassing people for drinking in other sections of the stadium. I don't drink in the stadium, but I just think it is EXTREMELY hypocritical for the cops to be busting the steerage class while the first class passengers are boozing it up ten feet below. Bunch of ********. Either allow drinking in the stadium or don't allow it, but this economic double standard is disgusting.

You and your son should probably draw up some plays in the backyard to make the aristocracy in the Club Level cough up their drinks. You should consult Tyson Lee and Anthony Dixon, they may have some tips for you.

Twice I saw old ladies talking to cops and pointing at drunk fans in the stands. Of course the cops were too scared to do anything. I watched one of them walk back inside after seeing a Tech fan get in a State fan's face. I sit in the deck and I never saw anyone get taken away, but I left a few minutes into the fourth.

People that want to legally drink in the stadium are going to have to pay for club level seats or a skybox. That's part of what they are paying for. I can't afford it myself. If they don't want to pay for those seats, but want to drink, they need to make their drinks below the seat, or somewhere else where the security people can't see them. I've been doing it for years. It's not hard. If they get caught drinking beer (I don't even know how you would accomplish that unless you are getting the beers from someone in a skybox), then damn, you might deserve to get busted.

Are there no rules against drinking in club level? Or are you guys just assuming this to be so?

I don't know what the rules are, but you can absolutely drink in there. I've sat up there plenty and made many a drink right in front of the security people. Whether it's just ignored or completely legal, I don't know.

but there were a couple of Tech fans that got taken away by the cops in my section. And it wasn't just because they were stinkin' drunk. They were harassing and taunting other fans, spilling other people's food and drinks, spilling their drinks on other people, bumping into and falling onto other fans, and just in general making ***-clowns of themselves. I don't have a problem with people having a drink in the stands and I've never seen the cops bust someone just for being drunk. But acting like an ***-clown for three straight hours will often get you in trouble. Even then it took two Tech fans rolling down the stairs together before the cops came up for anyone.

I'm not really all that concerned with the socio-economic implications of the situation however.

but the University (or any other University for that matter) isn't stupid enough to enforce it. You pay to be ignored.

Official policy has been waffled to "we will follow local laws". Local laws say it is legal, except for some open container law, right? So if its in a cup..... Regardless, I think the "local laws" thing is what legalized alcohol indoors at the club level.

drinks of preferrence during the week of the upcoming game or before the season starts for the suite people. Some security guards in the club prefer you to mix or pour your alcoholic beverage inside your locker, some don't. It's a pretty simple concept, you get what you pay for in this country. Fans that want to drink during the game (Non club/suite), bring airplane bottles and mix your drinks under your seat, be discreeeeet.

Beer?! Who the hell brings beer into the regular seats? You need to tell these guys to learn how to drink in a football stadium.

Never been busted or given any slack for drinking in the stadium or anyones stadium for that matter. Its not that hard. However if you are sneaking in cans of beer then you probably will get busted.

They need to ignore the drinking in every other part of the stadium as well as long as people don't act like jackasses.

Oh and BTW, I have smuggled cans of beers into the stadium my entire life and have neva eva neva eva eva neva been busted. That is not the point. The point is the fact that people are getting busted at all. Bunch of ********.

Every game that I've attended since the expansion has been on the club level.

And ... I'm just going to laugh at your assertion.
