Let's let the Bears have their 2012 recruiting title. After all, how has that went the last several years for them? As I browse and read comments from Bear fans, all I see is how they are ranked above us by ESPN and barely behind us on Rivals. So OK they can have their recruiting trophy, but I wanna break down a few things first. First off I won't even bother with the ESPN ranking system because they are so faulty that it's not even remotely funny. I will point out a few flaws with the Rivals system though. Here we go...<div>
</div><div>Richie Brown... 4* 12th ranked LB</div><div>MY RANKING... 4*</div><div>They got it right, for the most part. This young man has Star and NFL potential. I've said since CJ was even committed to us last year that Richie was the better prospect because not only was he a dang good football player, he also is an outstanding young man that will work hared.</div><div>
</div><div>Benequiez Brown... 3* 35th ranked ATH</div><div>MY RANKING... 4*</div><div>Are you kidding me? This young man is a 4* as a Running Back alone, not to mention his projected position is LB in College. Had he just played defense this year and not every position on the field I truly think he would have close to 5* potential. Very athletic.</div><div>
</div><div>Quadry Antoine... 3* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... High 3*, borderline 4</div><div>Have they seen this guy hit? He will take your head off and he's very athletic. Scout also has 100+ Safety's ranked ahead of him as well. I will lay money by the time he's a JR that there aren't 20 better Safety's in the Nation.</div><div>
</div><div>Ryan Brown... 3* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... High 3*</div><div>For some reason I'm really high on this kid. Something about him just makes me really think he will be a stud on our D-Line someday. He needsdevelopmentand to add weight but he's better than a Not rated 3*.</div><div>
</div><div>Cole Carter... 2* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... High 3*</div><div>I may be going out on a limb here, but this guy is veryathletic for a O-Linemanand potential to be 6'6 310-320 before he leaves without losing a step. He is a project, but IMO 95% of incoming FR. O-Lineman are so I would rate him as a high 3* at least.</div><div>
</div><div>Devon Desper... 3* 11th ranked OL</div><div>MY RANKING... 4*</div><div>Contrary to what the Bears say they saw at the Under Armour game, it's been reported by numerous scouts that Desper had brilliant practices. He started at C and held his own against some of the top D-Lineman in the country. He dominated Isaac Gross in the playoffs and that's well known as well. A project? Yes, but like I said 95% incoming FR. O-Lineman are.</div><div>
</div><div>Quay Evans... 4* 15th ranked DT</div><div>MY RANKING... 5*</div><div>Quay is a 5* and their is no question in my mind. I don't believe their are 15 better DT's in the Nation better than Nick James, much less Quay. Quay is the type who can contribute as a FR. and be very productive. Future All American in my mind.</div><div>
</div><div>Xavier Grindle... 3* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... High 3*</div><div>Very elusive Running Back. He will be behind a few older backs, but by the time he's a JR. I can see very good things out of Xavier. If RB doesn't pan(which I think he will) out then he's plenty of athletic enough to play CB. That in it's self is worthy of a High 3*</div><div>
</div><div>Dylan Holley... 3* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... High 3*</div><div>You are fixing to see a rugged and tough tough O-Line with Holley and Day both on it. Dylan is good enough to play G or C and good enough to startimmediately. He should have got 4* consideration being he's a Juco All American and good enough to come to a SEC school and start from Day 1.</div><div>
</div><div>Denico Autry... 4* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... 5*</div><div>Him being a 4* on Rivals is laughable. He's right up there with Cordarelle Patterson as the top Juco player in the Nation. Denico starts and contributes, if not all SEC Day 1. That my friends is 5* worthy.</div><div>
</div><div>Nick James... 3* 41st ranked DT</div><div>MY RATING... High 4*</div><div>People, if their are 40 better DT's in the Nation than Nick James, then my Grandma is 15 again. This is a complete joke and the only reason I didn't rate him a 5* is because I feel he needs to come in and get some Balis conditioning. Nick has a chance to be a 6'5 330unstoppableforce. This young man could very well become the top overall player from Mississippi out of this entire 2012 class with the right coaching and conditioning.</div><div>
<div>Nick Schuessler... 2* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... 3*</div><div>I agree Nick is a project and bit of a late bloomer, but he's been compared to Alex Smith and this young man runs a 4.6 40. He's very accurate and makes precise and quick decisions. After a RS year and about 20 more pounds, we could a very very good QB in our future. Mark my words, Nick Schuessler will be a better QB in the SEC than Jeremy Liggins. Notice I said better QB, not athlete.</div><div>
</div><div>Charles Siddoway... 3* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... 4*</div><div>Charles was a 4* coming out of HS so I'm really not sure why he would have dropped a star after a few seasons in JUCO and a All American at that. His JUCO coach says he has NFL potential. That kind of potential alone makes him a 4* in my eyes.</div><div>
</div><div>Jordan Washington... 3* NR</div><div>MY RANKING... High 3*</div><div>Jordan has a very high upside and makes up his lack of speed with strength and quickness. He can get to the QB. Jordan will be a really good player for us before he leaves, mark my words.</div><div>
</div><div>Nelson Adams... 3*</div><div>MY RANKING... 3*</div><div>I agree with his ranking, but I added him to say this. Here's a guy that might grow to 6'5-6'6 and be 300+. He has as much potential as probably anyone on this list, but he tends to take plays off a lot. He has unreal ability and potential. The coaches just have to get his head right and focused on becoming the unstoppable force he can be. I pray this isn't another James Maiden, because this young man could be something special someday.</div><div>
</div><div>Everything else I might can agree on, but I do think Torrey Bell, Kivon Coman, Fred Brown, Artimas Samuel, JustinSeniorand Gus Walley all become a contributorsfor us at some point.</div><div>
</div><div>I think they may have got Will Redmond, Deonte Evans, Brandon Holloway, AJ Jefferson(maybe should be a 4*),Cedric Jiles and Adarius Perkins somewhat close to right. Although I believe this group here will all start at some point and has potential to be very good starters and a few of them All SEC performers.</div><div>
</div><div>I apologize for rambling on, I'm just sick of reading comments about these young men not being part of a great recruiting class, when in fact that is false. The Bears want to look at 2 Basketball recruiting sites and determine their class is close to ours. I would love to see a Bear breakdown their class without the red and blue goggles, just like this. They can have their recruiting trophy all they want because we signed 28 5* young men that are coming in KNOWING up front that they will have to work HARD for a spot and nothing is given or guaranteed to them. And this,my Bear trolls, is why MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY isthe FLAGSHIP school in the State of Mississippi. Welcome to the Bulldawg family guys.</div><div>
</div><div>#OURSTATE</div><div>#HAILSTATE</div><div>
</div></div><div>ETA: Scout & 24/7 are by far the best Football recruiting sites on the web & 24/7 is easily becoming my favorite site. No bull over there, all straight up honesty & no sugar coating. I like that. Scout tends to wanna add a little drama for subscriptions it seems & I don't like that but do like their rating system.</div>

it would have been silly for us under Croom and when they were riding high. The fact is our program is on very solid ground right now and this group of recruits is only going to make it stronger. The important<div>thing to remember is Mullen and his coaches have created a sense of family and a culture of winning that is huge when it comes to sustaining success. Freezus may do the same we don't know right now but we do know it isn't in place up there right now and it will not happen over night. Ole Miss has proven the last several years that highly rated classes don't mean much if you don't get kids with character and great work ethics. I would</div><div>suspect in their haste to fill up their class the last two weeks with as many stars as possible that they may have made the same mistake on a few kids in this class but only time will tell. Their last two weeks of recruiting were absolute chaos. In contrast we pretty much had our class set many weeks ago and just had to solidify a few kids in the end. We are in a much better place than Ole Miss right now and that is just a fact.</div>

Their heads are hurting i'm sure trying to make the math of starrzzz and rankings add up. Hell i propose that we let them fudge the numbers to let them ahead on every single service. At least it will shut them up. I don't give a **** if we drop all our players to NR. It's not like you get more time in the weight room or on the practice field if you are a coddled 5 star and they kick the two stars out after 15 minutes.<div>
</div><div>In the back of all the bear's minds is that they would trade for a hell of a lot more of the players that signed a LOI for MSU yesterday than MSU would trade for theirs. That's the truth and I would love for a rebuttal from a MSU or UM fan stating otherwise.

Go ahead and concede 2013 also. Apparently they have already signed a great 2013 class. They are going to sign 13 of the dandy dozen that doesn't exist yet.
