I am not trying to reason. But I do like to get responses like this.

Just like I think Warren Haynes is allot better than RR.

Q:Would you throw your best friend out of an airplane for a million dollars?

Yalls A: Hell no

Final thoughts: your a 17'n idiot cause you just lost a million dollars. You didnt let me tell you it was a crop-duster sitting on the runway and you fall 3 feet and get a stone bruise.

Miami won in 2001 but was in the Big East. FSU won it in 1993 also, GT 1990, Clemson 1981 and Maryland 1953. If you think Mullen is that big of a difference maker to bring them Glory.....WoW. Great Reasoning

but you can run the table in the ACC and still not make the nationalchampionship game. The SEC is the toughest league in the nation, but if you win the league title with one or no losses, you are playing in the NC game. If I were a coach, I would not bank on anything to do with playoffs until it is actually implemented. If you are a coach and you are scared of great competition, I guess that you could run off to the ACC, Boise or Utah would accomplish about the same. If I were Mullen, I would stay at MSU until Florida came calling, that would be the easiestroute to win a championship. Mullen has said that he wants to coach in the SEC and I believe that he will until his dream job comes calling. I don't know if that is Florida, Penn St., etc. His wife seems very happy and Starkville is the perfect place to raise a child. I would be completely shocked if Mullen went to Miami, I don't see it happening. Mullen is very competetive, he does not seem to shy away from anyone. He has a chance at MSU to become a legend, I think that he will give it a shot in Starkville as long as we pay him and keep upgrading facilities. He is a young guy, he will have plenty of time and plenty of chances to leave when the time is right. He sees the momentum that his program has built at MSU, he has a chance to do something really special here. We have no reason to think that Mullen wants to be anywhere other than Starkville at this time. We do need Urban to get things back to rolling in Gainesville though.

OOBESPN (Bo): First, I appreciate the response, & I will still listen, I simply think the "editorials" are getting a little far fetched, but hey, it is your show, & your call. But for a show based in the heart of the SEC, I was amazed to hear you promote another school like that (non-SEC)......it's really just that simple for me. Hell, I know it's just talk radio & not planning space missions, hell, it's free talk radio, so I will take it for what its worth (& yes I do understand, I am a big proponent of if you don't like what is being said, stop listening).

Just a few points:
-per Stan Jones, if recruiting is so easy in Miami, where are all of his National Championships ?
-I ask that above, b/c per you, how many of these 4 & 5 star recruits actually pan out ?
-is the 4 & 5 star talent so readily available in Miami truly of the caliber individual you need to put a team together to win a NC ? They have to be cerebral, dedicated, & have a not give up type of attitude, right ?
-Does a coach want to have to deal w/ the temptations of trouble that is also readily available in the Miami area ? Yea, trouble can come from any & all directions anywhere, but for a coach like Mullen, is that truly what he wants to dedicate any time to ? or would he now prefer his players to concentrate on football.
-Is the grass really greener on the other side ? I mean is it really ?
-I am surprised to hear you down play facilities, rabid fanbase, & attendance.......in the past, that has been one of your big points in talking up the SEC.
-What does one do @ Miami when they do get to the BCS NCG in today's world & have to face a battle tested SEC West team ? Is it really that easy in Miami, today? Why didn't Randy Shanon get it done ? Why didn't Larry Coker repeat several more times ?
-I do agree w/ you that the current BCS has a shelf life of 5 to 7, & we will see a playoff w/in the next 10.
- I base alot of my opinion on the fact that the college football landscape is not the same as it was when we were growing up, & even in college. I think we are at the beginning of seeing non- traditional powers start to come to the front b/c of population increases, better high school programs / coaches, the thought that recruits today don't remember the hey-day of the Notre Dames, Florida States, & Miami & could care less of their history. And I truly think that coaches today really do give credence to "is the grass really greener on the other side?" (@ these traditional powers that are so easy to recruit to)

Other than all of that, hey, it's your show, & I disagreed w/ today......Mullen doesn't leave for Miami

I don't count UK's split title in 1977 when they lost head to head to Georgia and didn't go to the Sugar Bowl.

Ole Miss, MSU, Vandy, and Kentucky have not won an SEC title since 1963. South Carolina and Arkansas haven't won an SEC title since joining the league in 1992, though SC has a shot this year.

Last I checked, barring some odd circumstances, you have to win the SEC to win a national title. Since integration, that right has been reserved for Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee only.
