He's having a tough summer in the Cape Cod league. That might be helping our chances. Him coming back would really solidify the middle of our lineup for next year (obviously).

they must have asked him to play or else why would he be playing summer ball? I would think even the best press too hard in that type scenario.

I think the Dodgers wanted to see something, or Powers wanted to try to increase his stock by doing well in the Cape. A lot of good hitters struggle in that league, although Conner did really well last year, so has shown me he can hit with a wood bat.

He probably is pressing.

Him coming back may not be a bad move for him. I think the biggest issue that the Dodgers are having is that his .AVG went down this year compared to last. Powers has the ability to hit .350. If he comes back and hits 20 more home runs and hits .350 and continues to improve on defense, I could see him easily being a top five round pick.

I'm not going to get my hopes up until Aug 15th, though.
