I think this is unrealistic. Do you really think a guy that just helped a team reach a BCS bowl going to all of the sudden jump ship for the same position at a lower-tiered SEC school? Simply put, our program doesn't have the clout to pull someone like that away. That may change in the future, but I just don't see it happening right now.

I prefer catching a coach on the way up rather than getting coaches that are on the way down or that have been put out to pasture (I think Carson Newman could be considered a pasture). I know the MTSU folks think very highly of Diaz both as a coach and a person.

It is an aggressive, attacking defensive style. He seems to fit what Mullen said he was looking for in a DC. I don't know what kind of recruiter he is.
