Not everybody will turn out to be a star but 10 points and 7 boards a game is a pretty darn good contribution and unfortunately it won't be at State.
We've NEVER had a star at MSU, much like we've never had a QB. But our fans love to give Stans the benefit of the doubt continually as he continues to run off freshmen, sophomores and juniors at an alarming pace. Just because the Delks, Houstons, Sharpes, and hansbroughs of the world don't go off to another school and lead the NCAA in scoring doesn't mean they were a bust. That's experience that is supposedly being groomed at MSU (usually on the bench buried in the hockey substitution patterns) that never pays off in upperclassmen leadership and experience.
MSU is not having postseason success because we can't sustain a roster from year to year and build depth and experience. We aren't Kentucky and losing one and dones to the NBA draft. We are becoming a farm team for Louisville, UAB, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, and Troy.
