At least we play good teams in the SEC, they just had a crappy season in the Pac-10. We will probably pay as well or better also.</p>

versus, playing in a conference where week in and week out, is war? Seattle, Washington has Starbucks, the alternative music scene, and some of the finest shops and restaurants in the U.S. Starkville has....Lil Dooeys.

Willingham has that team in the *******. Whoever goes in there really does walk into a team that needs to be rebuilt. The Pac 10 isnt a complete cakewalk. Cal, Oregon, Oregon St., USC, they do have some decent teams.

Also, any coach who is worth anything wants to coach in the SEC or Big 12 because it is the big leagues. It is rare that a SEC team like Auburn has a good year and is not in the National Championship.

At Washington you can legitimately win conference championships and play in a BCS bowl game (14 Rose Bowls, the latest being in 2001). Not to mention, as Mutt posted, Seattle >>> Starkville.

At least thats what a TV station in South Bend reported last night....Said that the AD is trying to raise the money, but may not happen.

Anyone notice what Byrne told Montrell Conner about it "could take a couple of weeks."? Cincinnati plays Hawaii this weekend, and depending what Notre Dame does, maybe Byrne is keeping his eye on Kelly to see what happens. UT didnt want to wait on Kelly, but I think he would be worth the wait for us, if Petersen or Patterson both show no interest.
