Mississippi State, as many of you well know, has not won its SEC opener since 1999. In the nine league openers since State beat South Carolina 17-0 on Sept. 25, 1999, State has lost by an average of 20.8 points per game. That includes four losses to Auburn, which State will face Saturday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

we've won very few SEC games all those years. It's because we've had awful coaching and recruiting since 1999. Now we are trying to rectify this. That stat means nothing for this year. I hope all the pundits load up on Auburn. We will do better than expected.
