I have been on some national boards as well as the BSU boards today, and for the life of me I cannot understand why we are getting run in the ground for this hire. Things like we are a poor school, Petersen is making a mistake, they will never be any good and other ****. It pisses me off, because when someone else makes a hire its always that's a great hire he will do well there.

With our facilities, and things on the drawing board, recruiting ground TX to Atl, there is no reason you cannot win here and now with the Seal's money and ESPN's we are no longer a bottom feeder. Thank God Byrne sees what we as fan want and what MSU can be.

We have always been hated on. I think this new ERA of MSU leadership is gonna change all that.

all they can think of to say is: What is Petersen thinking? It's a dead end job. Blah blah blah.

How about: That's a great damn hire for Mississippi State. Change of perception overnight. Mississippi is a strong recruiting state. They just went to a bowl a year ago.

I've yet to hear one media guy give credit to State or Byrne for getting this done (if it's actually done).
