Take it for what it's worth, but I believe it at this point. I'm pretty sure we would know by now if Mullen had talked to PSU. But I'm now under the firm belief that Mullen has never been their #1. He's a good coach, and if he had gone 8-4 this year, he may have been. But for right now, it looks like Mullen hasn't talked to PSU. </div></div></div>

Quay would not have committed if there was pending staff shakeup. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that to some folks. It had to come straight from his mouth or Quay had several other options.

He was being recruited hard to get the verbal. I assure you he didn't wake up in the morning and just decide to commit to MSU. Part of that pitch was that they (Mullen and Wilson) was going to be on the sidelines.

happy at MSU and went on to say that he wasn't talking about Penn State but only MSU..........If he would come out and say, "I'm staying" all this **** would just go away, at least for the time being.............

I would never say something like that to my boss and I don't know why anyone would expect a coach to. He doesn't know what is going to happen tomorrow and publicly burning bridges is just stupid. He said he was happy at MSU and he planned to be coaching the Bulldogs next year. I know we all remember the Pine Box incident at Ole Miss but Dan has always been pretty straightforward as best he can be.

I personally think that Penn State is just getting organized and this is going to be a little slower search than some schools have done. Mullen's agent is the one talking to schools. This allows Mullen to truthfully deny that he has talked to anyone. It is the way the system works.</p>

because Penn State does not want Dan Mullen. If they did, all we would see is Mullen's *** and elbows as he sprinted out the door.
