A flattering article in a national publication, yes, but not focused on Starkville, or as we all know it to be - Mississippi's college town.

I'm sure the follow up article will remind everyone how bad Starkville is (right, I mean that's what real Journalist do). Or they'll call us the Rebels, or laugh at our campaign to get the Colonel back on the sidelines. Far too flattering, I'm suspicious.

the last positive aspect surroundingtheir University. You got mad because we were doing everything you wanted Ole Miss to do PR wise. So in response you wrote anuncharacteristicallyhack article that attacked the most over attacked aspect of Miss State. Starkville.<div>
</div><div>It bothered you when we beat you on the field two times in a row. It bothered you that we have hadsuccessiveAD's who know and have known how to create a buzz around our athletic department. It bothered you when we adopted the Our State slogan. It bothered you that your school and University started to shun its tradition while your instate rivalbeganto embracetheirswithout shame orapology. But then when we started to be prideful in Starkville, when we started to embrace ourenvironment, when we started to use a term that obviously bothers you , Mississippi's college town, and most of all when westartedto compare Starkville to Oxford it pushed you into arealmof frustration beyond acceptance. How dare we compare Starkville to Oxford?! So you took the bait hook line and sinker and lashed out like the prom queen who came back for the 10 year class reunion 50 pounds heavier.<div>
</div><div>Don't get me wrong, I understand what you were "trying to accomplish" with your article. That being said you will never convince me that you wrote it with anything but insecurity and arrogance pulsing through your hands as you typed it. You are an entertaining andintelligentwriter, I will give you that, but you are also not anydifferentthan any other Ole Miss fan who can see the writing on the wall. Have fun in Oxford.</div><div>

.....if we continue to lose? I am not down there enough to have a finger on the pulse of the fan base. However, this article is very accurate in that last weeks lose was a big blow to our perception as an up and coming program.

I don't think this game is a pivotal game for Mullen, as in lose the game and lose the excitement. I think State fans understand how difficult this game will be. I do think if we are blown out, the excitement will be drop greatly. But after tonight then what?

Does Mullen have to beat UGA to keep the fan base energized? UGA and USC? Or just USC? Or neither, are the fans going to continue to fill the stadium with bodies and excitement regardless?
