after watching Boise`s game last night I am positive the "demographic culture shock" for lack of better words would have eaten him alive.

So you can look at a guy walking the side lines and tell he wouldn't fit in here. I bet if he had agreed to come here, you would be saying he looks like a good ole southern boy. :)

of how superior talent is greater than coaching dumbassedry. Hell, Croom could have gotten LSU bowl eligible with saban's recruits.

that Idaho lacks a "certain demographic" that we have a lot of here in Mississippi. And if that "certain demograhic" isn't there, you can't bring them in.

That said, if he took MPSA players and went 12-1 with them, I would be fine with that.

That may be a reason why his predecessors have failed at their next jobs (Dan Hawkins, 53-11 @ BSU with 4 straight WAC titles, 13-24 @ Colorado ----- Dirk Koetter, 26-10 @ BSU with two 10 win seasons & WAC titles, 40-34 @ AZ St.)

It's as if no other coach has ever been a ****** game day coach and a great recruiter. Les Miles has done a pretty good Mack Brown imitation. We'll see how it works out long term.

really?

Mack Brown has won 10 games a year for some ridiculous number of years in a row, took over a program that won 4 games the year before his arrival, won a national title with his own players, and had more of a right to be in the national title game this year than Miles did last year. The two aren't even comparable.

No successful head coach from another will come to MSU because of the reasons stated above. Bank on it.

They will have to hire an OC who really wants to be a HC. I'm glad Dan Mullen's name has not been mentioned.
