Why would he count for UofL? He has never been arrested while there. The article is about players arrested while attending that school. Neither Fields or Dyer were ever convicted of anything. I will give you Williams.

So you think it better to penalize the team that kicked off a wrong-doer, and pretend that him playing on a new team is a fresh new beginning? The player still did what he did, and now he represents the new name on the jersey...his past doesn't change with a school change.

Fields or Dyer weren't convicted/and that's your argument? Do you believe all those in the article were convicted? Again, that is another reason the article is useless.

Do you think it accurately represents things? Guess who is next to Louisville at #49...Baylor. Bet you wouldn't agree those two schools are on the same level

Even UL fans know dork is a UL Troll posing as a UK fan, but somehow our Mods can't figure it out.

Re: Pure Gold, UK message board cries about Bama recruit
I have read this guy's posts before. I seriously think he is a Louisville fan that is trolling them. If he is he is brilliant.

We are trying to keep up with them? Where has he been?
Yet the mods wont ban him. Amazing.

Again the article simply tallies the arrests at each school. Fields has never been arrested while at UofL.

It tallies kids arrests before they even made it to school too - which would kind of go against your defense of Fields. It also fails to count arrests that schools didn't quite publicly release like Cameron Polk (was arrested multiple Xs, only reported the final)...believe it also didn't report duplicate offenders like Darius Ashley.

Again, it is inaccurate and useless...no matter the school you stand behind.

Again, I guarantee you don't believe UL being tied with Baylor is an accurate representation...surely Baylor wouldn't cover up things...

The arrest record is added into the school's total if the player have already signed with a school. The truth is most of these kids walk a straight line if given a second chance no matter what school they transfer to.

it is amazing what fans will do to justify their team's behavior. If a kid from a high profile program gets booted, it is almost ridiculously certain that he will have UL on his list of possible destinations.

I'm not justifying anything. Fields was charged with a misdemeanor. It was dismissed after he attended anger management classes. What in there would preclude giving him a second chance? Its not like UofL was the only one after him. Again, most of these kids given second chances walk the straight and narrow at their new schools. Nothing in his background is going to keep the NFL from making him a high pick in next years draft.

you are proving the point why the article is useless as it pertains to the discussion here on UL's shady recruiting practices. the point here is that one of UL's primary recruiting strategies is to cherrypick transfers (often times guys that are included on the list in that article) as a way to bolster their talent level. As to why many of these players "work out" when they get to UL, that has been discussed and debated for years and years. After seeing what went on in Minardi Hall, I'm surprised that so many UL people refuse to acknowledge the concept that maybe there is a lot of cover-up going on at that campus...

Yeah, his punching a woman was the only bad act he ever committed. And, he is now cured by an anger management class. UL is a saintly place for those miscreants who can really play football!!! Yeah, second chances that make the university millions!!!

Polk & Ashley X2 are on the list.

FWIW, Ashley was dismissed from the team, put in an alcohol rehab program, but allowed to stay in school with his scholly as long as he was able to stay sober. He finished his degree, and later earned a Masters. Probably saved that kids life.

Yeah, probably saved thousands of lives! Fed starving children. Employed the unemployable (and a "hot" volleyball player). Started a school for orphans.

Thank goodness for UL football!

Polk had multiple run ins. X2 is being generous.

I know the Ashley story...maybe they should've put him in the program after strike one.
