Petteway update SIAP

I totally missed this but there were reports out on June 26 that Petteway had signed with the Atlanta Hawks to play on their summer league team.

The following summer league games should be on NBA TV (central time)

July 10, 3 pm vs Denver
July 12. 3:30 pm, vs Golden State
July 13, 1 pm, vs D-League select

After 3 games the teams are seeded for tournament play.

Good luck to TP! Hope he earns a roster spot!

Many of the players on the Hawks Summer League team are just Summer League roster fillers. But the Hawks did just lose their starting small forward to free agency, so there may be a slim chance for TP to get a permanent Hawks roster spot.

TP has a fair shot at making a roster. It would be interesting to see what he can do where he doesn't have to be the focal point of the offense. He is a very good defender and certainly athletic enough to play in the NBA. I will not be one bit surprsed if he makes it.
