Good for them. If you can ignore all the damn cats and the hit or miss service Petty's is the tits.

That was published by Garden & Gun, so not just someone's blog. But any list that doesn't have the Big Abe on it, well, it just doesn't count.

Little Willie's on Spillway is great too. The side are just as good. Could eat a dozen of their deviled eggs right now!

They got it right with Payne's. Hands down the best BBQ pork sandwich in Memphis.

All BBQ rankings prove is that food, and BBQ in particular, is one of the most subjective topics known to man. No one will ever agree but everyone acts like they're bbq taste buds are second to none. Always fun

I think bbq is probably the only food like this. It is just preferance. I wont walk into rendezvous and when I did, it was literally the worst bbq rib Ive ever had. I have friends that swear it is the best.

Some like vingegar, some sweet, etc. it literally is preferance. Choice sirloin vs prime filet isnt preferance. The choice of wood flavor on bbq is.

I'll be honest. My bro-in-law lives southeast of Charolette and every time we go up there I get more and more of a taste for the Carolina BBQ. It's a lot different then southern BBQ. They use more mustard and vinegar based sauces and when you get a Sammich they put the cole slaw on the Sammich. I was surprised at how well it tasted the first time and every time we go back I like it more and more. The slaw is very peppery, not sweet at all. Kind of like Cock-of-the-Walk's at the reservoir.

You should stop eating that **** immediately and do your best to forget you ever had it. Developing a taste for carolina style bbq while living in the deep south is a recipe for disappointment and heartache. Take it from somebody who has made that mistake and stop while you still can.
