Peyton Manning is dancing around any responsibility for this loss...

in his post game interview. He's being asked questions about the interception and deflecting responsibility to any teammate he can. Excuses galore.

and he looked extremely pissed. Can't say I blame him. I thought he was going to choke a reporter.

post-pick six. His face was so red I thought pus was about to shoot from his mouth. My preacher says not to delight in someone else's misery, so I guess that makes me a bad, bad person.

he goes down as overrated in my book. One super bowl win in over 10 years of playing. He racks up yards, TDs, and stats in less important games but he rarely delivers in the big games. That's why Tom Brady is your QB of the decade, not Peyton. Peyton will beat the Raiders 66-0, but he is not quite the dominator in the post-season.<div>People talk about how "cerebral" Peyton is. To his credit, he turned the NFL snap count into an excruciatingly long and involved series of gestures and audibles. It's painful to watch how he changes every play at the line and sometimes more than once. I wish the NFL would shorten the play clock by 15 seconds just to help prevent his crap. He still has happy feet just like when he was at UT. And he still throws the untimely INT and blames it on his teammates.</div>

Thats why I've always hated that **********. He is a great QB but NOTHING is ever his fault. I have never seen him pat his chest and say 'my bad' after a bad play. The receiver ran the wrong route, the O-line didn't block...etc...

I'm not a Saints fan by any stretch of the imagination so instead of being excited that they won, I'm going to bed happy that Peyton is going to bed a loser. I really wanted to see a shot of the 'Manning box' after the pick six.

Brady has more rings but he had a hell of a cast of players around him including great defenses. Manning has none of that. I would hate to see the Colts without him. We would not even be talking about them. As far as Caldwell, he does a great interview, but he never says a word on the sidelines. Everyone knows who the coach of the Colts is..and that would be Peyton.</p>

I agree. That is one disappointing trait of the guy. I specifically remember him dogging out some of his O line. Pissed me off.

I'll give you that Brady has had better defenses than Manning, but no way the receivers Brady had in his SB wins are better than what Manning had. Manning had Harrison and Wayne in their primes along with Dallas Clark and an aging but still effective Brandon Stokely. Brady had Troy Brown (who moonlighted as a CB by the way), David Patten, David Givens, and Deion Branch. If you honestly would rather have Brady's receivers than Mannings, you need your head checked.

Edited to add - Manning's postseason record as a starter now stands at a wondrous 9-9. Best quarterback of all-time, my ***!!

hasn't exactly been chopped liver, though. Dwight Freeney is a HOF, Bob Sanders, but I do agree that the Patriots in general had better defenses. Also, Manning has had Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark and Addai among others at various times throughout his career.

when the Colts lose in the playoffs, it's usually because they don't score enough. If you're gonna give Brady credit for having better defenses that's fine but you also have to acknowledge that he had mediocre (and that's being kind) skill players on offense. Manning has had 1st rd draft picks at every skill position

I can't see anything Manning did that deserves blame. His receivers could have played better. The pick 6 was on Reggie Wayne running a poor route, and moreso on the Saints DB's confidence in his own film study. And the Colts could have gotten a huge lead early had Garson not dropped an easy deep ball.

More than anything, the Saints flat out won this game. Everybody from the coach to the waterboy played with aggressive, confident urgency.

This has been obvious about Peyton for years. Even when he played college ball. Not winning the national championship. The florida games. Happy feet for 15 years. I've never been a Peyton fan but nothing I said above isn't fair.<div>He is great in little games and racks up "plastic points." He is not consistently great in big games. That's his knock. That's why Tom Brady is the QB of this decade. And that's why I'd rather have Brady or Brees for that matter as my QB over a Peyton Manning.</div>
