Phil Jackson did a horrid job last night.

Waiting until it was 21-3 to call a time out? Repeatedly putting Derek Fisher in there to imitate a tree stump? Not kicking Pau Gasol in the nuts for being such a sissy? Letting Bill Walton's offspring play at all? Allowing some scuzzy looking Argentine look like Kevin McHale? Sitting Kobe for the first 5 minutes of the forth quarter while down 9?
What the hell Phil?

phil is known for letting his team play through, while others would call a TO. but come on - 21-3? you have to call a timeout somewhere in there. i have no idea why kobe was on the bench that long in the fourth - if you're fighting to be in the game, you have to have him in. he can handle the minutes.

as for scola, during the third quarter comeback, the lakers started doubling him in the post, and he's not the best at passing out of a double team. i think carl landry made some huge plays in that stretch, and was effective enough during the fourth to keep scola on the bench.

kobe is still a punk. he bitches at the refs every trip down the court like it's church league basketball.

i think they actually cut it to two at one point, but the rockets were able to stay ahead and then stretch the lead back to 8 or 9 by the end of the third. that was the point where landry came in and soon hit a reverse layup and free throw - a huge momentum play.

i just hope the rockets show up on sunday, because the lakers will be ready.

And then Kobe turned it over and the Rockets came down and got a three point play to push it back out 5 and the Lakers never really threatened afterwards. Again, numbnut Zen Master left Kobe on the bench for about 4-5 minutes at the start of the 4th with the Lakers still within 7-9 points. He may want to start coaching and earn his 10 million a year.

Did anyone else think that was funny as heck last night. Artest over-reacting to a head butt and then sticking his tongue out to expose a gash. Kobe
had a look on his face like c'mon, man...

I did not see a head butt and the anouncers were going nuts about that technical being called. If that deserved a tech then there would not be any players left by the end of the first quarter due to ejections. I would look for the NBA to rescind that technical because if you get seven in the playoffs then you get suspended a game and that was Kobs's 5th. Artest definitely sold it though.

i guess i hadn't realized how much of a flopper gasol really is. landry was coming around to post up, and raised his arm. after it was up for a second, gasol threw his head back and flailed. drew the T, and gasol walked back down the court moving his jaw like he got punched. if someone steals the ball from gasol, he flails his arms like he is running phoebe-style.

i don't know if there are two uglier guys in the nba than scola and gasol. maybe gasol's brother.

These foreign guys are ugly as homemade sin. I personally think it should be a technical for flopping. Gasol does it too much. Hell he is 7 foot and about 250. It ain't easy to knock him down.

Skola or whatever that guys name scored like the first 14 points of the game. Phil waited way to long until he took a time out.
The Rockets where +9 underdogs for the game and +10 for the second half......easy cheese. They are +12 for game 7 in LA.

I know the Rockets just lost by 40 pts. two games ago but I would not be surprised if they beat the Fakers.
R. Adelman is a damn good coach for the Rockets. To do what he has done with the injuries the team has had, impressive.
