Oh wait, that's #4 toughest schedule. Today he mentions we are #7 in terms of the schedule getting tougher from '08 to '09. Yeah!

I also put a GOING DOWN box in the article which shows the teams that take on a much tougher schedule. In the 5 years that I have published the box an amazing 82% of the teams had a weaker record the next year! Last year Kansas went from 12-1 to 8-5, Arkansas went from 2 straight New Years Day Bowl games to a losing record and New Mexico had their worst record of the decade. Here are the teams that unfortunately for them play a much tougher schedule and made my GOING DOWN box.

But really, how much lower gain we go? It's not as if we're coming off a bowl, staring 4-8 in the face.

Meanwhile, OM is at #77 in terms of schedule strength and #4 in terms of schedule getting easier from last year to this year. Before you Rebels blame us, of all the teams we play, only Houston and MTSU have weaker schedules than Ole Miss.

Phil also has us ranked 78th nationally, and in the summary on Miss State he says that we more than likely wont match our win total of 4 from last year.

Works for me. I've never understood why people care whether someone thinks you play a tough schedule or not. We have a favorable SEC draw and a weak OOC schedule. If that means more wins and a chance at a higher ranking, I'll gladly take that over the murder's row that UGA has ahead of them and the very likely slide out of the Top 25 that they will face.
