so that's why this move concerns me. I could almost chalk up all the other attrition to egos/etc., especially when we were winning and going to tournaments. And I admit I don't pay attention to behind the scenes basketball news - only what I see on the court on gamedays.

But damn, Stans recruited these guys didn't he? What's he telling them that gets them to campus, but pisses them off so much when they get here? I know college basketballhas an ugly, ego driven and money grubbingunderbelly but why can't our program just behave like most of the other ones? Why can't we get a team that plays together?

I'm beginning to think that we're just at that 10 year mark, where we know exactly how a coach operates and what he'll do next. We know Stans will recruit well, but his coaching style will piss some of them off. And he'll win enough to just get by. Which is fine with me, honestly, I just want to realistically make the tournament every year.

But while that's all good, these seem like mistakes Stans can fix. Just let the best players play, man. That's all they really ask. Kodi, Delks, Hans, Turner....just let 'em go at it - that's usually how we're the most successful. I think players can respect and understand that.

Another pattern I am seeing is the lack of communication...

Rhodes, Gordon, Kodi,Bost, and Turner all at one point or another made the statement that they didn't talk to Stans. The most successful coaches seem to build paternal relationships with their players, so this pattern does worry me.

However, there is another pattern which I don't recall being discussed...After his redshirt year, the rumor was that turner wasn't coming back. After his redshirt freshmen year, same rumor.Sophmore year, same rumor. Finally, his senior year, yes the same rumor. Perhaps Stans was tired of the drama.

but my whole concern is, these seem like fixable problems. Only Stans really knows for sure, and he wins alot more games than I probably would.
