well, ive basically ragged on this guy all last season and for the first 9 games this season. i said he is not an option for more minutes because he takes illadvised shots, forces passes, and all he is really servicable for is defense.
and i think the stats for back up all that.
but the last two games have been great for him. he has really made good decisons on when to and when not to shoot. he has made good decisions on when to and when not to pass. and his defense has been very very solid this whole time.
he is behind the 8 ball right now, having to guard players that have 6 inches and 50 pounds on him, but he works damn hard to shut down whoever he is guarding at the time.
tonight, his defense is what sparked the early 2nd half run. his defensive rebounding, and his steals on defense. hell, he even led and finished a fast break!!!...that is no small feat for our guards.
tonight, he shot 50% from the field, 40% from deep, had 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 assist. he took care of the ball with only 1 turnover as well. 12 points, 6 boards, and 3 steals? if he can just come close to that each time out, we may have to worry about 1 less position from here on out.
