LA had its chances. Not worried about them. They will be tough to beat when full strength.

They were missing their left tackle, running back and wideout. This was the first varsity start for the entire o line. The replacement left tackle had never played on offense before as a freshman. All in all, you never want to lose, you could see that they were coming together and playing as a unit in the second half. Ther's a few questions on offense; why were plays not called that exploited the Phillips crowding the line. The safetys were playing like linebackers. Are there no quick post patterns available? Having said all this, kudos to Phillips. They won the game and are congratulated. This LA team though, once they gel will be very tough to beat and I see their qb, Quinn Boyle as an all state player.

We have been posting the largest attended games so It's a little upsetting to me to see Phillips stands with so few fans last night. The Phillips kids played hard and clean. It was also a fun game to watch. It's to bad - i honestly wish nothing but the best for these kids down the line.

Tbh, Phillips doesn't have as much support within CPS as you guys think. There is quite a bit of jealousy.

There weren't a ton of people in the visiting stands either. I believe that the Mayweather McGregor fight played a role as well.

Phillips won by 6. Montini final drive they were stopped at the 10 yard line. I believe both Montini soph running backs are out with injuries. One before the season started and one in the varsity game.
Prayers are with the student in the varsity game.
