for your afternoon dose of negativity. For those of you that don't know, PPL is this mysterious "scatback" position that Croom has been trying to get since 2006 and hasn't gotten yet. He was supposed to be the answer until he bolted for greener pastures, literally.

I think Tracey Lampley is this year's version, and I'd be willing to bet he goes to Auburn as well.

According to BDJ, Auburn hasn't offered and there hasn't been much pursuit by them either. The story did make it seem like if Auburn offered he was headed for the plains even with the lack of interest.</p>

Auburn is pretty full now with commits.. I think they have 22.. And plus they have a commitment from a "scat back." I believe he is ours to lose.

I'd love to get both of them, it's the one thing we are missing right now, this recruiting class included. We need some guys that are faster than anybody else on the field.

one is from Miss Southern and the other from State. He is disappointed about that. Auburn has shown little interest. He would be interested in them, but right now just has the two offers. Wayne County not making the playoffs last year hurt his exposure. He looks good in practice so far.

after watching alot of hl tape of ppl, and seeing lampley in person a couple of times plus his hl tape,....i have to say that lampley is not near as fast as ppl....lampley is pretty quick, but i never got the impression of an sec tailback...ppl seemed like a true all purpose scatback.......lampley will probably go to usm because of their offense....wayne c. runs the spread as well.....i really never understood the offer to lampley to be honest.
