Not Puckett’s fault. He should be sitting comfy on the sideline. This is an indictment of our recruiting and/or NIL for not having a serviceable backup.
Fact:

Don't hate the kid because he’s playing. Hate the coach who put him in because he’s has no one better to play. I’m happy for Puckett and wish him could show out for him and us fans.

You shouldn’t direct your frustration at him. That’s not fair nor objective. You could fairly blame the D for allowing the OU O to score so many points.

Well, they did get 14 in a row because our dubmass coach doesn’t know what to do when he wins the coin toss.

If you have a pitcher and he gets hits what do you do? You try someone else, right? Puckett may be the best in practice (I'm sure that's the case) but if he can't perform in the game you have to give somebody else some reps. At this point what would it hurt to at least give Swann or Rashada some reps. Rashada can atleast run.
But does he know the playboy playbook. There is a reason he was so highly recruited and then then didn't amount to anything (got more of the physicality genes than the mental ones).

23 points? Are you 17ing kidding me that is absurd, per the Google machine the average score is 27.78 this season in division 1 football. Our defense did not play a bad game, our offense was the equivalent of wet rag with a 5'10" backup at QB(yes I know he's listed taller but that's the height he plays at). So you sir can stop you utter 🐂 💩 you are spewing about our defense! Call a spade a spade we have a bad coach who doesn't understand field position and goe for it on fourth down regularly at a ridiculous yardage on the field and down and distance!

Fact:

OU scored an average of 21.33 ppg this season. Today they scored 23. Take that great D performance for what it’s worth. As stated earlier, this D is much better than the previous two seasons.

And to your last…point…if you think I defended Lebby, you have a reading comprehension issue.

If you check his stats he had a pretty good day. He screwed the pooch with that fumble. We could have got 7 there and if Lebby ever 17ing kicked field goals we could have had at least 3 more points and won the game.
Where could we have kicked a FG where we went for it on 4th down?

I can only remember us going for it on 4th once this game, where we were somewhere close to FG range (there 41, 55 yard FG attempt).

Kids gotten thrown in the fire. LSU, Oklahoma, and next week Texas are some of the best defenses in the SEC. If Taylor is done, it’s time to adjust the offense to fit Puckett (if lebby can do that) and see what we can do over the last 4 games… go ahead and flush this tx game

Well we went 2 of 5 on 4th down so you just weren't paying attention. A few were close enough. We have a good kicker.
You said yourself, we were 2/5 so that leaves 3 where we turned it over on downs and you're saying we should have attempted FG's.

Those three times we turned it over on downs were at the following places on the field:

1) OU 41 (58 yard FG); 3-0 OU at the time
2) MSU 44; I don't think we're going to attempt a 80+ yard FG
3) MSU 43; I don't think we're going to attempt a 80+ yard FG

You said a few of those above were "close enough." Are you arguing that we should have attempted an 80+ yard FG?

I could see maybe the one from their 41 but that would be longer than his longest FG he's ever made by several yards so I can't really be too harsh of that decision.

This is my absolute favorite time of year. The time when we implode and all the ex-coaches on this board start ranting and raving semantics about the one coach that is getting paid. How dare we assume things happen in the building and at practice that doesn’t get discussed at the press conference or thrown on social media. Please, continue the ranting

I think it’s fair for fans to be pissed off at this point

Maybe I'm thinking about last week where we did the same thing. 58 is a stretch. Seems like we were closer a couple times. At the end of the 3rd for one

I just listed the three times we went for it on 4th and were not successful.

Only one of those was what anyone would consider close to choose to kick, and even that one was asking him to do something he's never done before in a game (58+ yard kick).

Now in the LSU game we went for it a couple of times that were well within FG range, but that's not what we were talking about...in addition, that was a blowout so I think Lebby's logic was we needed TDs (which I don't disagree with).

If you’re going to justify being pissed, don’t do it based on a subjective metric that may change person to person such as whether something is “fair” or not. Life isn’t fair, can’t make it so relative to MSU football all of a sudden.

Perhaps by kick possibly we mean a freaking punt, I mean Pulliam was booming 25 yd net punts when he did** how are we not talking about that as well, Shankasaurus Rex was punting for us on Saturday, again that is just unacceptable at this level, but punters don't make SHOWTIME!

18-31 would have at least looked respectable had we kicked when in range against LSU!
