The clarion ledgers failure totake into account thekids ability to enroll in college is a problem.

is a better list when measuring who did the best in state. <div>
</div><div>But as of now, it's all we have to go by. DD is usually just the 12 most notable players, not the 12 most projectable.</div>

I will never underestimate the rebels' chances of landing the consensus #1 player in the state, especially when they go to South Panola.

Is TSUN bound, but I oculd be wrong. And Conner is looking like he's going to Bama right now, unless we or TSUN can pull some magic, especially because Bama hasn't picked up a safety in this class. I'm honestly hoping Conner waits a while and Bama fills their slots up.

top rated safeties in the country since saban got there, so they have plenty of those already. Logic says if he wants to hit the field almost immediately with a chance to win, he comes to 'vegas. Of course, the bears will chop off their nuts and give them to him before they allow that to happen. I think they are out of luck with the brother angle, so they are going to have to ante up.

If every kid was concerned with immediate playing time then Reggie Ragland, T.J. Yeldon, and Landon Collins wouldn't have signed with Bama last year, LSU wouldn't have signed three CB's last year. Kailo Moore wouldn't have committed to us.

Logic says if he wants to hit the field almost immediately with a <div class="scrolling"><nobr>chance to win</nobr>, he comes to 'vegas. </div>
Logic says if he wants to play day one then go to Ole Miss. There's a reason Brassell played two ways last year. He <span style="font-style: italic;">could </span>play his freshman year here but he probably won't, especially if Nickoe stays. And don't pretend anything about recruiting is logical. If recruiting was logical we've have bad better ranked classes than ole miss the past two years.

I said IF he wants to play almost immediately AND win, State is the choice. Go to bama and he will win more than anywhere else, but there is a chance he doesn't start until he is a senior (he could start as a freshman, who knows, but unlikely). Yeah, he can start immediately at mississippi, but how much winning is he going to do there? Very little for the foreseeable future. <div>Bama = win a lot but playing time is harder to come by</div><div>State = win more than you lose but playing time is soon and often</div><div>Miss. = lose most of your games but playing time is maybe a little quicker than State by a few games.</div>

But between Market and Arrington(as well as the possible signing of Justin Cox if we decide to put him at safety, but I'm betting we'd put him at Corner) Conner could see the field as a redshirt fresh or a even as a redshirt sophmore. I just don't see a guy settling for the middle road.

I don't know. But I do know that we were basically the only school that offered him (i don't think usm even offered him). Connor is a 5* safety that everyone wants. Physically, Connor would be the most talented secondary player we had. His playing time would depend on how quickly he understood things. I'm not saying he would be starting from the get go, but I would expect him to play as a backup by the third game and get more time as he picked things up. 5* players don't sit the bench too long unless they have 5* upperclassmen ahead of them.

you have lost your 17ing mind. Not that I buy into recruiting rankings, but according to Scout, Market was the #148 S prospect with one SEC offer. Conner, on the other hand, is the #2 S prospect tin the country with offers from damn near everyone. I have also seen both of these kids play multiple times and it aint even close as to which one is the fastest, strongest, biggest, quickest...<div>
</div><div>Assuming Conner stays out of trouble, the kid will be making a lot of money in the NFL someday. Not sure Market has the same destiny.</div>

He understand the game well, but he is undersized and simply lacks the speed needed to play safety in the SEC.

I'm saying that after two years of going through the workouts and learning the defense he's gonna have a hell of an advantage. Cameron Lawrence was a recruit with no offers but us, Okie State, Duke, and Southern. Hell, he was projected to play safety in college, but after putting him through Balis he turned into a linebacker who churned out over a hundred tackles last year. Joe Morrow proved last year that to play your freshman year you need to better by a wide margin and if our S&C is anything like people say it is Conner'll have to work for the job.

That some out of state schools usually grab at least one or two of the DD. USM might even have a say.

I don't think the other schools come in this year and snag anybody. USM especially. The way Mullen and Freeze recruit MS won't allow much of that anymore.

To say right now Conner will end up at Bama shows a lack of experience when it comes to recruiting. I will worry about Bama down the road around December or January but not now. They most likely will end up passing on him.
