Piedmont District on the rise?

The Piedmont District was an interesting one at the least.

GW was good as usual

Magna Vista played well, but was a bit inconsistent against Halifax and Bassett.

Halifax is hosting their first playoff game since 2005

Bassett and Patrick County had their first .500+ season since 2008

Tunstall had a down season but they’ve put up some food records in previous years.

No doubt the district took a BIG step forward. Halifax County, Bassett and Patrick County (almost half of the District) were MUCH better. GW and Magna Vista were just as good. Tunstall was breaking in a new coach and was hammered by graduation losses. They won't be 1-9 for long. Ditto for Martinsville at 0-10.
