Oh no, hoping that can’t be true. He was just posting yesterday afternoon.

I know you obviously wouldn’t have posted here if it didn’t seem valid, but is there any chance of a mix up? What’s the story on Facebook?

Just messaged a friend of his. For those that don’t know, he was paralyzed in a wreck as a teenager. I dunno if it is related, but he got UTIs a lot, was complaining about pain yesterday, took some medicine, and didn’t wake up today.

Seems to be true. Awful news. Awful awful news. He was a really good dude.

RIP to our brother.

Damn. Like Seinfeld said, I swear it was just yesterday he was posting. My heart goes out to his family.

ETA: I'll pour a little Natty Light out tonight for him and his sock monkey avatar. He was a good poster and seemed like a good person.

RIP PGB

I hate to hear this, he was a good dude who always added something good to every thread. This sucks.

If you happen to find out or you know of anything like a charity or organization he was a part of, I’d like to donate to it in honor of him.

That is awful. He loved playing every fantasy game we could dream up and we sort of backed each other up with some of the leagues we share. Just seemed like a really great dude and my heart goes out to those who were privileged to call him friend or family member.

Horrible news. Prayers to his family. Good poster and I’m sure he was a better person based on everyone’s comments.

I normally have avatars turned off but was browsing while logged out yesterday and saw that little sock monkey with a natty light - got to laughing at it for some reason, just caught my attention.

Terribly sad to hear this. He will be missed.

Damn man. I hate that. I remember when fantasy started this year for some reason the App didn’t bring me forward into the league. I kept waiting to be added but it never happened. I checked with him to see what was up. He was so concerned about it. I didn’t give a ****, the way I looked at it he saved me money. But he was doing everything he could, (add another person, get another league, see if he knew anyone that needed another person in a league, etc.) to get me into a FF group. I couldn’t believe he went through all of that trouble for essentially a stranger. I showed me that dude had great character. You will be missed PGB, RIP.

I wouldn’t know if he was involved with any charities. I think he went to church regularly. I’ll keep a lookout for any gofundme for a funeral and post it here.

This is just terrible news. Even though most of us never met him, we lost a friend today. God bless him and his family.

We may not meet in person, but the friendships made online are every bit as real as in person. I talked and text him many times. We all know he was a genuine as it gets. Just sad. Someone like him didn’t deserve to go out so soon.

Hate this so much. He was one of the most reliably great and funny posters on this site. RIP brother.

I didn't know him but I wish I had. This saddens me like the loss of a friend. His posts were solid and you could tell he really loved our school. R.I.P. Bulldog.

Man, I’ve been stumbling here for a half hour trying to think what to say

As far as I know, I never had the chance to meet PGB in person, but this is devastating all the same. Had many good chats with him over the years while running our golf pools or any of the many other fantasy tournaments, and he was one of those dudes that was always up for anything. Like you could have knocked on his door at 8PM on some random night and said let’s go riding, and he’d be down.

Losing good people like this is one of the toughest parts of life, but Rest In Peace brother. I’m not sure how or what to do yet, but I’d like to commemorate PGB too

I was looking through his latest posts and found this. Just a fan believing in his team when others weren’t. Rest easy Pinegrovebully.

Rest In Peace PineGroveBully

I’m reading on Facebook he has passed away…

You will be missed here by all of us. I will pray for the family and look forward to any charity that pops on here in his name. God bless the rest of you on here. We never know the time or place that we will leave this earth. I look forward to seeing what you have to say about our Dawgs.

I just gave him a “no errors” on that post. I may be wrong, but he seemed to be one of the few guys here who wasn’t ever a jerk or smart ***. Way to go, PGB. May the Dawgs honor you with fantastic seasons this school year. Be sure to put in a good word for us with The Big Guy!

Hate to hear this. Was he in SPS FF league? I’m not sure of everyone in the leagues board names.

Man that is the worst. Super guy. We were chatting last summer about catching up for lunch next time I got back to MS. I'm sick with myself that I didn't make this happen now.

If anyone gets any details about causes we can donate to in his memory, please let us know or if there is anything else we can do to help his family in this time of loss.

I log on almost everyday and I never think I'm going to log on and hear news like this. Feeling pretty low right now. Pine was always positive and tried to look for the best instead of the worst. That's the kind of guy you want to hang with because of that attitude. Rest In Peace PGD and prayers for your friends and family.

Devastating news. I just found out a few months ago he was only an hour away from me. Next time I was over that way I was gonna see if he wanted to go eat a meal or something but unfortunately it never happened. RIP.

No, this year he's in the Lettuce Patch league, was the league manager for the Lettuce Patch Part Deux, and was the coordinator of the Six Pack group on the Eliminator Challenge.

Sorry to hear about this. He was a good fan and from my view a good person as well. His humor and insight will be missed.

That's very sad to hear. I Always enjoyed his banter and posts.

I'm sure most of you know this, but sixpack is way more than a message board to many people. It has given many people an easy escape and humor through tough times.

It’s really strange how you develop a friendship or relationship with a made up name and a funny avatar on a message board and with someone you never actually meet. It doesn’t register until something tragic like this happens and that familiar name and avatar is gone. PGB will be missed.
