In spite of ridiculous media speculation (they both made up the scenario then wondered if it was true) about the Washington opening, he isn't going anywhere.

I've had season tickets at MU for his whole tenure (even though my baby girl is now a proud Bulldog at State) and while he can be stubborn to the extreme at times, he revived a waste dump at MU through sheer hard work and hard headed-ness. If you want to get his blood up, mention recruiting service rankings. I've been to many of his recruiting events after signing day in St Louis, and he will let everyone know that the star system can never tell what a player can be in a particular system, the classroom or the locker room. As an example, he has had some dynamite offensive lines with guys not high on any lists, because it is zone and trap blocking from quick, tall and agile guys he wants, not the straight ahead road graders. He needs that in the SEC at times for sure, so it will be interesting where he goes with that in the future.

With all that, go MSU and win the bowl and make 2014 a great season! I've been to 5 games now at Davis Wade and it is a great atmosphere, especially the tailgating which is better than a place I grew up with in college football at Columbia.

Hail State!

I like how Missouri is paying their assistants. We should follow suit and pay Collins now. 500k

Didn't he have an affair a couple of years ago with someone in the AD's office? Ended up getting a divorce I think. I believe he was close to being run off. Looks like he has made a strong comeback.

He got a DUI 2 or 3 years ago. Was suspended for 1 game I believe.

That's about all I can remember. Not sure about the marriage stuff.

He is definitely divorced after about 40 years of marriage. He didn't have an affair while married that I saw reported. He had a DUI after a night out in Columbia, was suspended by the AD for Senior Day and the MU chancellor fined him a months salary. Not being at Senior Day killed him but he shouldn't have put himself in that position obviously. He was lucky he had enough respect from the administration for what he had done at MU to give him a second chance.
