How does Franklin beat Asheville by 9 points. Then turn around and lose to a hurt Murphy team 35-14? Thats a head scratcher.

A 1a team that beat Franklin after Franklin beat Asheville. So yeah we don't have nothing.
#40 Roberts and #32 McTaggart played tonight for Murphy (although #32 was still nursing that ankle) that certainly helped.
Plus Murphy dominated Franklin in the trenches. Asheville is weak up front and couldn't exploit Franklin being weaker than usual on the lines like Murphy could.
I don't think we consider Franklin a rival, more of a nemesis. In addition, the way it's unfolding this year, there are bigger obstacles/test's than them on our way down to Lenior. Certainly will be keeping my eye on your Panthers as well.
Pisgah's defense has played lights out in both games .The offence is always behind the defense at start of season.Look for them to get better as the season progresses. Think the Mountain six is going to be a tough conference with some really good games.

I saw Shelby play last night and they are 2A. They would BLAST Pisgah into orbit. Much bigger, faster, and super well coached. The Bears may be the kings of Haywood County but once they drive out of Asheville (with the exception of ACR) they tend not to do well.
You make a really good point. We were all talking about playing Shelby and heading out of Asheville and how well we'd do.

Every time you guys from someone else get on here you mention going down state or Shelby South Point and you forgot Hibritten.Do you really think we don't know how good teams in the playoffs are?Unlike a lot of teams here in the mountains we do make the playoffs about every year.
Right now we only care about one game Tuscola Pisgah.The others will come later.
We haven’t said **** about our team on here but people like you , who know nothing about our team this year, always offer an opinion on something they truly know nothing about. We know about Shelby and SP and Hibriten. We will play whoever is in front of us at that time, I assure you.
Here's an idea. Why don't we just cancel the regular season and let the top ranked teams get in line to play Shelby, or South Point, or Hibriten. Seems to me that a bunch of you guys on here must know something that we don't. Since when did we say how great we were? It's one game at a time. Try to win each week. Do you really think that a team that hasn't played in a state championship in as long a time as us doesn't understand the competition level in the playoffs? At the same time, 3 losing seasons in 30 years is a mark of a winning program. State Champion level no, winning yes.
One more thing, we've came back up the mountain on 40 many a Friday night in November as victors, or sent many back down the mountain on 40 many a Friday night in November as losers. We've also had our butts handed to us. Do you think we've never played Shelby or South Point?

BK13, Pisgah didn't do a whole lot offensively. Lot of yellow/black onlookers that night. Enka sniffed the red zone one time offensively. Enka's score came on a pick 6. Enka always has big kids.
Yep, Enka qb is tough. He got hammered on that night. He just kept popping up.
Since Mountain Heritage has lost a game and hold a 1-1 record, they really should be #1, right???
There could be a very good argument made for a couple of teams. But saying Pisgah being there is a joke is a joke in itself. Still early anyway, what difference does it make?
Shelby came up to Canton a few years ago for a 2nd or 3rd round game and many said they would run all over the Bears, well they won but it was much closer than anyone thought it would be. Still one of the best HS games Ive seen. Pisgah scores on first play of the game. I was shocked because all week everyone said they could not match the speed of Shelby.....#4 runs away from about 3 Shelby guys.
Heelzfor2, that was 4th round. Winner went to state. Shelby crushed their opponent in the state final. So its safe to say that game between Shelby and Pisgah was the state championship game. That screen pass to Josh will be forever etched in my mind. Josh Cockrell set the bar for whoever wears that #4 jersey at Pisgah.
Sophmore D. Dogin wears it now and will be a force to be reckoned with by his senior year. Probably one of the fastest kids on the team now. I've watched him since youth leauge termites.
ACR, possibly. Erwin no way. Pisgah has beat Erwin 6 of the last 10 times they've played. I dont get why people Erwin is so special. They finish 3rd in their conference every year. They get beat in the second round of the playoffs every year, just like every other mtn team(other than the 1a schools and ACR).
1). Pisgah and Reynolds we're very close to being eventually matched in a 7 on 7 match up this year. 2). Pisgah hosted a lineman challenge this year also and tied for first place with Erwin. 3). What are you smoking BUD?
Why does anyone think Pisgah is special? I've seen a few Erwin games as well as Pisgah the last few years and they would have curb stomped you. Just look at what they did to your brothers at Tuscola last season. As for Reynolds you have zero chance. Tell me again why Pisgah is ranked #1 in wnc? Give me facts? What have they done worth a crap lately?
Im not even a Erwin fan. All I'm saying is I seen both teams play over the last three years and they are clearly better right now. I watched them beat the brakes off Franklin a few years ago when Pisgah couldn't do anything with them. I will ask you again, what has Pisgah done worth a crap?
