Most of our opponents seem to use the version that has a speaker in the pitcher’s hat while we use the version that looks like an Apple Watch on the pitcher’s glove-side wrist.
The speaker version always seems to have issues (or our opponents are using it as an excuse to get an extra timeout) while our “Apple Watch” version seems to be rock solid.
if the speaker version is so unreliable, why doesn’t the NCAA standardize to the watch version? Do teams/players get to choose their preferenc? If so. Why would anyone choose the unreliable speaker version?
