Baylor and Iowa State have reached out to the Big East as their backup plan if/when the Big 12 folds. Pitt and Syracuse would have to pay 5 million and give 27 months notice if they plan to leave. Looks like this might be the end of the Big 12. I have a feeling if Baylor, the one holding up TAMU leaving, is looking elsewhere already, they have to believe things are going to fall apart soon and that they better give themselves a chance to stay a float once the Big 12 is done.
I also have a hard time believing the Big East will keep an AQ bid if they lose Pitt and Syracuse and add Baylor and Iowa St. I mean I guess Baylor brings enough for them to possibly keep the bid, but I think over the next few years the conference folding and expanding is going to be insane.
