5 as of this post. If you look at who cuse has played other than GT it's unremarkable. More a matter of Syracuse not being as good as their record but then Pitts D did show up.

There's got to be suspicion on McCord's performance. The first offensive play of the game, he threw a pass right at the defender who couldn't hang onto it.

A couple plays later he throws a terrible pick six. It looked like he threw it right to the defender again.

On his second series he throws another bone head interception. He now has 5 in the game. These were not incredible defensive plays, they were incredibly bad passes.

I doubt there's point shaving but with the Sportsbooks we have today, people are going to get suspicious when a star QB suddenly forgets how to play QB.

To me this is exactly how teams with average talent should play defense. Hyper aggressive and physical. Pitts corners have always been physical with the college rules that is how corners should play. Officials let corners grab/engage receivers which affects timing.

He threw 3 pick sixes that were awful. It look liked Pitt knew every route by formation.

Sorry, but there is no excuse for 5 interceptions. The game was over after the 3rd. Neither Pitt nor Syracuse are going to challenge SMU, Miami or Clemson for ACC Championship.

They’re unbeaten. What would you call our talent then?

Last night was definitely Pitt's night. Hard to gauge how good they are, but they are undefeated. Even though Pitt's defense stepped up bigly last night, they aren't exactly a defensive team. UofL and Pitt should be a shoot out, since our D is non-existent.

I think when a team is poorly coached it is hard to determine talent. The results tell us Louisville isn’t very talented. However, their confusion and blow coverages really make you question the coaching on that side of the ball. For example, Ben Perry is talented but last week he got confused and/or lost 2 times against Miami. On the long TD he was completely lost went out into the flat where there were zero Miami players.

Pitt’s defense may not be good but at least they force QB’s to make quick decisions. They aren’t easy to prepare for. Louisville is really easy to prepare for.

Okay. I agree with Louisville’s defense (this has nothing to do with the offense because it’s very well coached) being poorly coached not only in scheme but even more in technique. Brohm needs to clean house on that side of the ball except for Ivey.
As for talent, Pitt has talent, Louisville has talent, what Louisville doesn’t have is prototype linebackers which is bad recruiting. They have a bunch of strong safety type linebackers who are getting their butts kicked.

Any suggestions where to stay in Louisville or the surrounding area for the Pitt game? I'm heading out to Louisville to do fieldwork for my dissertation. I decided to just go that weekend with the incentive to go to the game, too. In response to the OP, Syracuse should be called Syrapooh. Please get rid of the Illinois and Stanford procreation uniforms.

Pitt is super lucky, but I'm not complaining about being 7-0. Eli Holstein is playing pedestrian right now, though. Offense is going backwards with lost confidence from the QB position. It's the worst time for this to happen with the jump in competition for these remaining games. Defense is steadily improving by the week (Pitt had two returning starters, but not a bad thing because the starters last year sucked @$$). But, as you all know, these two teams play each other weird, so I don't know how it'll play out. I don't think it'll be a shootout.
