So I get married this Saturday, my wife and I are obviously very excited for the day. We are heading to Orlando on Monday and will be there until Saturday. Neither of us have been to Orlando before.

We will be going to the different parks during the day, but is there anything around Universal for just us two that anyone recommends? Bars/restaurants/must see stuff?

Thanks! GBR!

Long time follower of the board, but never really post. We go to Orlando multiple times a year, so maybe i could help a bit. Definitely hit up citywalk. Plenty of food and entertainment options as you enter/leave the park. We eat at bubba gumps everytime we go, but also have ate at jimmy buffets and NBC sports grill which were decent. Internaltional drive has a lot of options as well, but if you get lost or venture too far away you can run into some sketchy parts of Orlando.

If you willing to drive about 30 minutes away I would recommend Boggy Creek airboat rides. Very cool experience and we saw some aligators. Make sure to do the evening ride.

Real close to Universal and the Convention Center are tons of great restaurants my personal favorite is Fishbones, pricey but well worth it especially for honeymooners

Was down there last month for the first time. Ate at a place called DelMonicos and it was pretty solid.

I have lived in Central Florida for 30 years. Rather than restate the obvious re attractions, I'd recommend that you and the wife take a day trip over to Port Canaveral and/or Cocoa Beach. The area has lots of things to do. Island Tours runs a cool boat ride on the Indian River Lagoon just west of the lock into the Port plus various short boat rides depart from within the Port. Sunrise Marina should be able to assist you with a few things to do that are quite enjoyable.

Sunrise Marina has a nice YouTube -- take a look. I've eaten in Grills a dozen times. FRESH fish sandwiches to die for.
