Plane ticket prices.

Has anyone else noticed tickets to Jacksonvile drop by 50% on 1/2? Drops even more on 1/3. Really chaps my hide the way they are price gouging.

I thought so too until I checked ticket prices for Little Rock, Nashville, Jackson, and Birmingham. It's really no difference in any of those and Memphis.

Stay an extra day and spend the money saved in flights on the hotel and having fun. You'll be spending the money either way. Plus if it turns out to be $50 or so more expensive to stay and have fun another day (over flying home a day earlier), then you just had an extra day of vacation for only 50 bucks.

That's my problem. I have to be back in Memphis on 1/2. Flying is my only option. The $1000 flight was a deal breaker for me because my companies 3rd and 4th quarters have been absolutely shittastic. The 1/2 prices would've meant me going back to watch the Gator Bowl if they were good on 12/30 or 31.
