we had them on the ropes and went conservative. That's where we had a good chance to win it. But played for the tie.

Tonight was the best play calling and perhaps execution our Offense has had all year. We had to 2 bad fumbles, the last one was a fluke, and Relf had Clark for the TD he just lead him too far.

Take the fumbles away and we win period. Play calling was excellent, best Offensive production all year against an SEC team and the #13th ranked team in the country.

There is no reason to ***** and moan and backbite, we just got beat by an excellent football team and it took 2 overtimes to decide the victor.

31 points is going to be good enough to beat most teams in the SEC on most days.

My question is this- why don't we have playcalling like this every game? Sometimes we're so incredibly vanilla, but then we also have games like this where we're very creative.

Our playcalling was fine... I posted this bitching about how we ended the game. Needing 7 yards with 2 plays on the 18 yard line I would MUCH MUCH prefer that we run the ball 2 times rather than throw 2 incomplete passes.

That was all I meant.

Arceto was open, the play just had to be executed. (not trying to sound like Croom!) If that ball was 8 inches closer to Clark it would have been a TD.

Am I mistaken or is Arkansas the worse team we've lost to all year @ #13? I mean we're not losing to chumps here.

I wanted a third down run. Get us to 4th and 4 or whatever, and we have more options then. The third down pass dictated a fourth down pass. I don't HATE the third down pass though. At some point, you have to give Arkansas credit for making enough plays to win the game. They are a damn good football team and will give LSU all they want next week.
