I just went to hailstate.com ticket site... Play off tickets are listed at $650 a pop. I'm stunned...

That's why I put 100 bucks on MSU at the beginning of the year

Put it all on the credit card and really hope I have a happy trip to Vegas at the end of it all.

How many tickets do you suppose each team gets to SEC and NCAA playoffs?

32) Watch MSU win a national college football championship in person.

Easily the most improbable item on my bucket list. I'm crossing it off if our dogs give me the chance.

The get in price for tickets to the rose and sugar bowl is less than $300 on stubhub. The get in price on stubhub for the national championship is about $900. I know a lot of tickets go to corporate sponsors and such for these type of events but it makes me wonder if we can get even 20,000 msu fans to Arlington for $1000/ticket, if that Is face value for the average ticket. I know there is a group of fans that are in the mindset that they will have to go and spend the money, even if it means not taking the whole family. I'm not a huge 'got to be there to see in person no matter what' type fan but I would assume the average msu season ticket holder will be priced out of it as far as buying at face value. Based on that, you got to think if we were to make it that far the unused tickets from our allotment will hit the secondary market for far below face value.

If you think that's bad, take a look at stubhub. Cheapest ticket is $825 for an upper deck nosebleed seat. Unbelievable

The face value of the NC game is $450 for level 2 & 4. I reserved 2 ( level 2) for $220 at TeamTix.com. Level 4 (crow's nest in Jerry's World are less that $50 each to reserve. The down side is you lose your reservation (and money) if the dawgs don't make it to the natty. I think it's worth the risk.

I'm not 1000% certain but I think the $650 is for both the 1st and 2nd round ticket (so basically $325 each).

What Remy said. Bucket list. I'm there regardless. I don't care if I have to sleep in the truck and shower at the truck stop. I'm at both playoff games for $650.

That's face value per ticket plus reservation cost. If $450 is face value cost then why buy from this site and instead purchase from msu and avoid the 'reservation'/non-refundable deposit charge?

This is the way I interpreted it also because there was no separate option to purchase Rose or Sugar. It says it is for both games and if we were to lose the first, wouldn't be charged for the game in Dallas.

I also thought about that consideration. But the way I figure it, there will be a mad grab for the available tickets from the MSU ticket office and they will probably put a preference based on a criteria like Bulldog Club ranking. Unfortunately, I would be low on the pecking order. Also, scalpers will rush in for any available tickets. So I spent a little extra to avoid the stampede and ensure myself of some tickets. Since I live in Dallas, I will save travel cost (which could add as much as a $1000 or so) so I could spend a little more for the ticket reservation.

$650 is for CFB Title game only

Called the BDC, so if you buy tickets through your BDC account it will show $650, but in reality, what you are doing is reserving a opportunity based on your rank to get tickets for both games. Since they do not know where we are going, they just listed the most exp tickets for the CFB title game. So what will happen if we go to say the Sugar/Title game. The higher ranked people get the most exp tickets assigned to them so $250/$650 and the lower rank, the lower cost: $175/$450.

I'm not 1000% certain but I think the $650 is for both the 1st and 2nd round ticket (so basically $325 each).

Yeah that's a steep sum but I'm no where near the top 1500 in the BDC which is the preliminary projection of where you'll have to be to get playoff tickets. Guess it's stubhub or bust.

Did an MSU fan just say that he had reserved tickets to the national championship game?

Better get your souls right, folks.
