Left on the play clock? I believe that's what Tommy said...so we didn't have enough time to motion over the tight end. We were saving our timeouts why? Between a QB with 20 plus starts and a staff that was brought in because of their experience how could you not use one of your multiple timeouts in that situation? Unreal.

Agree. The coaches called a good play and it comes down to the players to execute. Not sure why the coaches are getting the blame for the game plan. it comes down to the players executing because receivers were open.

I don't mind the playcall at all. Timing was fine? Getting the play in with 8 seconds left on the play clock is fine? I don't think so.
Yes, it could have been quicker, but 8 seconds, in football terms, is plenty of time to get composed and execute. In both the NFL and college, playcalls are often checked/changed 3-4 seconds prior to the snap.

No, they have not flat out said it but it seems that people are almost mad that Iowa is 5-0...all they can do is play the teams on the schedule.

Apparently not enough time for the tight end to motion over like intended(per Tommy Armstrong). This was texted to me so I can't verify if this was actually said in the PC>

I hated that call at that time.

RUN the ball eat the clock.

We did not need a first down or TD to win the game. Worst case we punt into the 5th row. 15-20 seconds to go 80 yards with no timeouts. I feel pretty good about our odds. Doing what we did was not the "percentage play" and gave us a greater chance to lose the game than just eating the clock.

JUST WIN BABY
