Well, the great news on Renardo Sydney will open up many player combinations for our team to put on the court. We can go small and we can go jumbo packages! We can go quickness and speed.

We can have 3 big men on the court (Varnardo, Sydney, Agustus/Osby) or two big men and a 3 guard lineup.

we even have a real point guard. Jarvis must come back.

to see this lineup: JV, Kodi, Sidney, Randy, Bost with Randy/Phil/Ravern rotating out. Dirty.

The Fab 5 all over again???
Nope. That will be our 2011 signing class comprised of nothing but Mississippians.

It's getting a little hot in here.......

I hope you can wait because I just can't see us ever going to that lineup. I think Varnado, Sidney, and Augustus should be a 3 man rotation at the 4/5. And Bost, Stewart, Ravern, and Turner should be a 4 man rotation at the 1/2/3. And then you pick your spots for Osby. I hope it doesn't take Stansbury 2 months to get it figured out.

that starting 5 puts the most talent out there and presents the toughest matchup possible. I mean am I wrong in thinking that? Rotating those three would be unreal, assuming sidney lives up to the hype.

Renardo, JV, Osby/Ravern, KA, Bost..... That lineup would be potent....... bunch of 6'7s and bigger plus bost and they all can score..... if varnado improves his offensive game we could be dangerous

The problem with this is you don't have anybody that can really play the other guard type role and help Bost get the ball down the floor. Stewert or Turner will need to start, because Ravern doesn't have the ball handling skills to play the 2. I agree with Rambis and would like to see this lineup:

1. Bost
2. Turner(Stansbury will probably go with Stewart)
3. Augustus
4. Sidney
5. Varnardo

Then you can sub in RJ, Bailey, Osby, and others as needed.

That lineup would be awful. What the hell are you talking about? One ball handler and 4 bigs, yeah that is brilliant. One of the dumbest things I've heard in a while.

Augustus just looks too stiff to play the 3. He can spot up and shoot, but not like Ravern. I think Ravern has a ton of talent. He just needs to work on his ball handling and hit the weight room hard. In Ravern, you are talking about someone who led the nation in 3 point FG percentage fairly deep into the season. I like the idea of of surrounding Varnado and Sidney with 3 good shooters.

Also, I like the idea of Augustus coming in for Varnado or Sidney more than the thought of Bailey coming in. The 8 I mentioned above are our 8 best players and would make for the perfect 8 man rotation. Of course, I excpect us to play 11 or 12 and play a half court game.

1. Dee- good PG, who I'd like to see score more consistently. He'll have games where he has 15 and then 2 the next game. If he keeps playing a good PG, I can overlook this.
2. Barry- He'll be a senior. Hopefully, with the addition of Sidney and the maturity of the team, he will realize that he does not have to be the hero, and all he has to do is spot up and shoot threes and play good defense. He also has some experince at PG, and can play there in spots for a couple of minutes at a time. Basically, he just needs to cut down on his air balls and bad shots.
3. Kodi- Agree with Rambis. He can be a beast if he gets his head on straight. We know he likes to score, and is a heck of an athlete. I think his size would make him hard for a three in the SEC to guard. And with Sidney and Varnado, you can't really put a PF or C on him either. All he has to do is get his head on straight, play better defense, and rebound, and score. Just do what Stans wants him to do.
4. Sidney- He has great size, and should be able to score. At the very least, he is a big body and that should help with rebounding and defense. At the same time, he is just a Fr., and there may be some adjustment for him. He also could be very special.
5. Varnado- Just be himself. Play good defense, block shots, and the only thing to improve would maybe be to continue to improve his game on offense.
6th man A- Phil Turner. Again, just be Phil. Play good defense, knock down a few shots, and play hard. Continue to improve. Maybe even fill in for Dee for a couple of minutes as well.
6th man B- Ravern- He's a good guy to bring in to try to score some points. This could be useful if Barry struggles during a game, or we need to go small, we can use him at the three. Of course, he needs to work on his defense.
6th man C- Osby. All he needs to do is continue to improve, which I think will happen as he gains experience. He's a great option to have in case Swat, Kodi or Sidney get into foul trouble, and can give them breathers.

Could be potentially very fun next year.
