a couple of years back and broke both wrists. Not really a good move unless it works.

That's like getting ejected for sliding.

The only time I've seen a play like that was in the 1996 Olympics when Jaque Jones jumped over a catcher from Japan at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium at the Olympics.

Announcer didn't say anything about the ball getting loose in the outfield.

I agree with whoever said that he stuck the landing. He demonstrated total body control and astute geophysical awareness all at the same time.
