It pains me to say it since I am a WV fan... But the young man Tricase was absolutely fantastic in the GBN WV game. I don't know exactly what his stats were but had all 4 TDs for GBN and over 200 yards rushing. Just a fantastic player.

Also I would nominate Tanner Westwood QB from Waubonsie. He had an amazing second half. Ran for a TD and threw for 3 TDs plus the 2pt conversion to win it.

I'm going with Jordan Rowell of ICCP. He put out notice ICCP is back as a powerhouse team.
I wouldn't say POWER HOUSE but ICCP is a really good 3A team. Jordan Powell should definitely be in the race for player of the year and the coach will definitely be in the race for coach of the year.

What team does IC have to beat before you would say "powerhouse"? I think the Bmac and St. Laurence wins and differential gets a 3A team there.

I think Jack Lewis is smiling right now.

I think IC wins all the rest of their games this year. I also think 6A Prairie Ridge wins all the rest of their games this year.

PowerHouse? You become a powerhouse after you win several state championships. We can talk after they win the state championship! Not after week two!

Well they won't win a couple of championships because Jordan Rowell is a senior. But I do see them as a "powerhouse" team this year. I just call it the way I see it.

I've been following him since 7-8th grade and he went to grade school blocks away from Montini and Montini let him get away.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see them win the State. My son's best friend and several kids I coached in the past are on the team and I wish them the best. But seriously, they couldn't beat a Montini, a Loyola, a Maine South, Glenbard West or a Nazareth team this year. They will again have to get past a BMAC in the playoffs to win championship.

They would have a shot against Montini since Montini/IC used to be a big rivalry game but none of the others. But your raising the bar too high for a 3A team to be on the same level as those teams listed.

When was the last time Loyola, MS or Glenbard West ever scheduled a 3A team anyhow?

Fotis Kokosioulis by far!!!!
MS could use the Junior QB and will have success (he is not quite as mobile as the senior but can see over the line much better and his arm is the same.) MS lost the game this past weekend because the senior couldn't see over the line to put the ball into the hands of the receiver. But if you are missing Fotis Kokosioulis MS will be no where as successful. He is the game changer. Small 5 yard dink passes get you nowhere but it is the yards after catch that I look at. Fotis turns a 5 yard pass into a 30 yard gain. That's where the credit goes. Fotis should be the player of the week not the QB.

Fotis Kokosioulis from MS for sure.
I am glad someone else sees the same things I see from the sidelines. This kids back must hurt so much because he has carried the team on it for two games now.

Fotis Kokosioulis would get me vote. The Tribune had Loyola's tight end as the player of the game but Kokosioulis had about a hundred more yards total than the Loyola guy.

We should chat about this in person! Get everyone's opinions out and on the same page instead of voicing them here which is too divisive to our program.

Up for it?

All I can tell you is that from experience it is very difficult to get a player from a losing team the award and I've been on this committee I think 7 years now and have nominated kids from losing teams in the past more then s few times. None have won
