Weather.com's Hour-by-Hour report gives only a 5% chance of rain in the 12 and 1 PM hours. Why the hell don't they just play the game then?

Even if it has to be ESPN3 only, I'd rather get it in when we can.

I thought the same thing. This series is really going to be drug out and I think that favors UVA if it is.

If we have to wait till tomorrow, we might run girodo back out there a batter or two. They can stall, but it's still in our favor. We need 6 outs. We've got a 2-run lead. We've got 9 outs, if they do happen to come back.

No way does it favor Va........

We have a 2 run lead. Holder and gang have been lights out all year, Va probably can't pitch there best reliever! Pressure is on the 6 seed.

Shared a table last night after the washout with a UVA media guy.

He said ESPN made the call on handling the re start time.

Said UVA folks showed the weather maps to ESPN folks and they ignored them to keep Monday play in the 4 PM window.

UVA wanted a start tim mid day today.

Now if we don't play at ALL today it definitely helps them. Now granted, regardless, they have to be able to pull out Game 2 against our closer but they have already used up their best bullpen arms in Games 1 and 2. Any extra rest to get some of those guys back available if the series is delayed another day is a BIG bonus for them if their offense can do anything in their final 2 Game 2 at bats against Holder.

I'm so pissed off that they didn't just wait it out last night. There was no rain 45 minutes after they called it. When ESPN briefly should the coaches meeting behind the plate with the grounds crew, you could tell Cohen was not happy at all. Unless you are just absolutely in the middle of a monsoon, how the hell do you call a game when a team is six outs from the CWS? This thing should be over. There was definitely some favoritism in that decision.
