We’ve only played Wake one time in our history, and we beat them 23-17 in the Music City Bowl in 2011.

And there was a line into my WFU office of colleagues who wanted to gripe at me about the cowbells. I laughed and laughed.

The people running the downtown pep rallies on lower first street the day before the game invited state fans to hang around and be a part of Wake’s because they basically had no one there.
Zach Selmon's alma mater...think he as a TE there. May make a good storyline. Who will he be pulling for
Did Ashford play at Auburn? I know he played at SC, but I think Wake is his 4th school in 4 years.
He's played pretty well this season, and he's mobile. Wake's best offense is the run game - Demond Claiborne is pretty good.

Me too. It was quite chilly that game. I believe they thought they'd beat us, much as Clemson did in the Peach Bowl and Central Florida did in the Liberty Bowl.
I was in Nashville in 11 too. Cold night. We didn’t play particularly well if I recall, but Ballard and Cox had some big plays that were enough to win.
I was there as well. I think Ballard had a 75 yard touchdown run and had about 150 rushing yards for the game. Crowd was mostly MSU fans.
They'll have a stadium with a roof before too long. But I suspect parking for a game will still be a pita.

Lost to FSU, NC State, Ga Tech, and Duke. They only played two currently ranked teams (Ga Tech and Virginia).
I was there. Mrs. Devil and I got yelled at by an old lady Wake fan who felt the need to tell us they were still a better academic institution compared to us. With ya boy responding well, *****, if this was a quiz bowl that might matter. Back in my drinking days.
Bout an 11-12 hr drive for me and that's why I ain't going.

Ashford is a mediocre passer at best but has some wheels. If we don't stack the box & force them to pass...
