Playoff chaos

We are 3 (somewhat realistic) results away from having absolute chaos in the college football playoff. The 3 games are:

UGA @ AU
LSU vs UGA ( SECCG)
Penn State @ Ohio State

Let’s say UGA loses to auburn and then beats LSU in the championship. At the same time, Penn State wins at Ohio State and then beats Minnesota in the BIG10 championship. If everyone else that matters holds serve the playoff committee is looking at the following list of teams.

Alabama 11-1
Ohio state 11-1
UGA 11-2
LSU 12-1
Minnesota 12-1
Penn State 12-1
Oregon/ Utah 12-1
Oklahoma 12-1 ( maybe Baylor?)
Clemson 13-0

For those that want the playoff expanded, you should hope for this. They would be under too much pressure after having to leave 5 of these teams out. Discuss.

And the 14-0 team has played exactly zero Top 25 ranked teams. Admittedly, they caused Wake to be dropped out, but that's the way it works.

It's fun to discuss these doomsday scenarios, but Ohio State and LSU are going to steamroll their ways to the title game. Bill Connelly's computer simulations came up with a 4 team playoff of UGA, LSU, Bama, Minnesota on about 7 of a million runs. I'm pulling for that one just for the sheer anger it will produce.

An 11-2 Georgia, with one of two losses being to a 4-8 team at home, isn’t going anywhere. That’s the easiest elimination on the whole list. I would argue that they shouldn’t go no matter what. That’s how bad that USC loss is.

And it's not only the USCe loss. Florida on a neutral field is their most important win. Florida is like LSU's 4th best win. That home field win over Notre Dame that was very close does not look as impressive anymore.

I'm calling for Clemson to go down to USCe, just because it will make a perfect storm.

Is it that crazy? Itll be the second or third best team Clemson has played this year (believe it or not), on the road, against a team that has proven it can beat a top ten team and whose coach is fighting for his job.

I'm calling for it too, just because Dabo is slowly morphing into an arrogant jerk.

The more interesting question would be what happens if GA wins out and beats LSU in the conference championship, and Bama, LSU, and GA all end up with just one loss.

IF that happens, LSU and Georgia are in and Bama is out. Plug in Clemson and OSU and there is your final 4.
To be honest, LSU is in the playoff if the win out next 3 games and win or lose the SEC CG.
I don’t see OSU or Clemson losing so they are in. So that leaves the fourth spot.
if GA beats LSU, they are the fourth. If the lose, you can probably pencil in Bama unless Baylor stays undefeated or OU beats them and OU is possibly the fourth.

Whatever situation keeps Alabama out is the right one.
