I liked the faster pace of the show. I never needed a coach interview between the brackets, so I’m glad that was gone.

I do not like how hard it was for people to find the show. I had no problem, but it should be easy for everyone. I’m young enough to talk into my remote and let the TV find it for me.

I did not like that the IHSA apparently hired a couple “big voice guys” to host. Wheaton-Warrenton South? Where are the Friday Night Lites people to host, with Edgy and Soucie to analyze with Bernhard?

I feel like the TV/Internet/print coverage of games, playoff pairings, and highlights peaked a few years ago and is regressing a bit now.

NFHS network feels as if its basically required to fail at some point. I am sure now that IHSA has went away from Comcast or NBC preps, whatever it is called now, we are back to the days of crashing sites and tv programing failure.

While I myself had no problem the broadcast last night... many past broadcasts of different games, events, etc. Were pretty brutal if not unwatchable on nfhs and ihsa tv sites...

With WGN having lost all its professional sports coverage, I would think that they might be interested...at least in football and basketball. There would be no access issues. Quality equipment. And no pre-empting title games for bad Bulls or Hawks games...

Hey guys, long time no talk! I will tell you that I like the show that cuts right to the pairings. I do think there is value in the interviews and stretching the show out a bit for revenue, plus some post analysis. That's why I enjoyed my role on the NBCS Chicago set with the Edgy and the writers. We kept it moving, organized and it felt organic on the air. However, if you can't do it, if you can't balance coverage with 256 teams, it's not worth the risk. This is why I took my role so seriously.

So in this sense, I like that it was just about the pairings and off we go. Anxious to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for the insight Matt...pretty straightforward...rattle off one through four, show the brackets as you do, should take 10 minutes tops...2 min commercial..rattle off 5 through 8...another 10 min..2 min commercial..the last hour plus, dissect each class one by one with maybe a 3 minute per interview with 4 - 5 different coaches...make some "expert" predictions to end it...
