Have the playoffs taken some of the luster off the SECCG? E.g. If Aub gets beat this weekend by State, but then goes on to win out...do they really care about missing the SECCG if they are in the playoffs (assuming that someone else reps the SECW in Atlanta)?

I wouldn't say that because while it's certainly possible to still get in the playoffs mix without playing in the SECCG, I wouldn't want to take my chances on it. While playing in the SECCG and winning it would be a virtual playoff lock for an SEC West team this year, I still just don't see the committee putting a second team in that didn't make the title game. It would pretty much take a perfect storm of all other options having 2+ losses and the 2nd place SECW team only having one loss.
Edited to add: I still say that there will already be talk of expanding the playoffs to 8 teams within a matter of weeks. It would allow each of the Power 5 conference champs to have an automatic bid and then 3 at large picks.
